Yup.
I ripped open the mesh liner and used some kind of special fabric tape (3M), that was supposed to work. It kinda did, but after a couple of daysthe tape came off, and I pretty much abandoned the whole project. After doing another run with the tape an odd month later, I figured it would look cool (well, at least from the inside) if I used some ghetto duct-taping outside of the 3M "smart tape". I think that did it. had to sow and shi*t, but the pants are now almost fully waterproof and breathable like a shut plastic bottle. I don't like to sweat, so I gave the pants to my old granddad.

It's funny you remembered about this, I still hate those pants for giving me sweats, and was a bit embarrassed after the first attempt, so I didn't post any of it on sb.com.
