About Me

Well, besides being obsessed with Mt. Baker, I guess just waiting for the season to roll around. Cycling's coming to it's season's close so I'm needing to keep busy until then.
Anyone think it's gonna snow up in the NW this year?

Wow, I don't really think I could have asked for more than I got on my first trip to Baker. I was really really blown away. That is one amazing place. I was awestruck the entire day on Friday. I couldn't believe that there was this type of terrain inbounds at a resort. The feel of the place, the terrain available, the powder, etc... I couldn't have found a more perfect crew or conditions. We hit every lift on the first day and checked out the contest a little bit. It was a cool contest to see but I'm gathering that it's way more fun if you're in it than to sit and watch it. Plus, there was plenty of pow to kill, so back to it. Chair 1's area is killer. Great steeps and fun glades. The place makes me want to research backcountry safety lessons so that I can move there and go in that area. I still can't sum up everything that I saw. The salmon bake was the best salmon I've ever had and I was bummed I had to break out early but Brad had to get back on a plane in Seattle. Wow, 12 years of waiting and every minute of it was worth it.

... nice, Meadows has enough snow to open yet there's no road to get there! I mean you could go around the other way, I hear it take only 30 extra minutes, but it doesn't seem like anyones saying that'll be the alternate route til the main road is open. Hmmm. Now I'm really glad I didn't get a seasons pass. Skibowl and Timberline it is...

Seems my free days are always filled with things... we'll drink or board one of these days!

... beers is good... there's lots of that going on usually... I'll call you when there's another outting, or at just some random time. I'm around.

You doing the 4x4 pass again? I hear it's not supposed to be a good snow year... but who knows. My GF almost bought me a pass, but I told her not to... I'll still make it up for some boarding this season though. Needs to happen.

Hey ya...

I'm actually not doing much this summer. Being lazy around PTown for the most part... Haven't even been staying at home lately, but that's another story. All in all I have no complaints though. I am sooo ready for a career change soon, these creative fingers are getting tired! Thinking maybe I'll just recycle oyster shells and throw them back into the bay...

Eh there holmes...

Thanks for the Bday wish. Been pretty mellow these days. The new job keeps me super busy, but I'm keeping track of all this new snow! It's madness...
