Wow, I don't really think I could have asked for more than I got on my first trip to Baker. I was really really blown away. That is one amazing place. I was awestruck the entire day on Friday. I couldn't believe that there was this type of terrain inbounds at a resort. The feel of the place, the terrain available, the powder, etc... I couldn't have found a more perfect crew or conditions. We hit every lift on the first day and checked out the contest a little bit. It was a cool contest to see but I'm gathering that it's way more fun if you're in it than to sit and watch it. Plus, there was plenty of pow to kill, so back to it. Chair 1's area is killer. Great steeps and fun glades. The place makes me want to research backcountry safety lessons so that I can move there and go in that area. I still can't sum up everything that I saw.
The salmon bake was the best salmon I've ever had and I was bummed I had to break out early but Brad had to get back on a plane in Seattle.
Wow, 12 years of waiting and every minute of it was worth it.
