i think i've learned to ride diff terrain a little better ( ie pow)
even though i really dont like to
but thats just me and i know im crazy
what can i say im a park rat

anyways - i like it up here in the seattle(worst place ever according to simon cowell)

so i moved to seattle

so it's been a little opver 2 months since the surgery
mys houlder's great and my knee is 3 weeks ahead of normal recoop time

i was walking on it, no crutches, after about 2 and half weeks where as normal recoop time has the patient on crutches up until 6 weeks after surgery

so im stoked.
i also got my brace which kind of reminds me of the ones Stone Cold Steve Austin used to wear on WWF back in the day lol
so yeah
i am able to run but im not alowed, and im thinkin i can wakeboard if i dont so anything big but my therapist said i should wait a couple more months...so oh well

but in the midst of all this my best friend Katie an i have moved to Seattle, we road tripped it up here about 2 weeks ago and we move into our new place ont he first and i got a job at a sweet shop called Evo (www.evoseattle.com).
so yeah
i got a lot to do
gotta  research workouts that the coach wants me to do and i gotta research products for the shop
gotta get my mind and body in the best snowboarding shape its ever been...go me
feels wierd not bein in CA and knowin that i wont ride Bear every saturday
oh well new adventures...its what im all about

untill i get the patients to get back on here and deal w/ my aunts dial-up...

so the surgery went over fine as you may of noticed sincei m writing this and not dead

it was four hours of cutting and slicing and drilling and all that fun stuff they tend to not show you on ER

waking up on morphine
w/ a full leg brace on and bandage tape pulling my hair
oh joy

its been like 2 and a half weeks since surgery and im able to slightly walk o my knee
my shoulder in pretty much 100%
but theres still alot of work to be don on my knee

so we'll see how well this goes over
it already hurts like you wouldnt believe

imagine your knee working off the fulling and retracting tension of a rubber band
now imagine the rubber band being too small

thats what my knee feels like
no fun.

so yeah the surgery is tomorrow april 5th 6am...ligament resonstruction, arthoscopic and plate removal from my shoulder... wish me luck...all you who care...and remember to keep it steezy. Oh and a special shout out to all those cute canadian boys.

so i went to see dr. duffner today,the doc who did my shoulder to schedual the surgery to get the metal plate that i had put in last april taken out.

and he looks through my file and says whats wrng w/ your knee?
and i said i was here friday becuase i tore my miniscus and dr. townsend said i was fine and just needed therapy.

and duffner replied townsend isnt a dr he's just a PA.

so now i once more hate my insurance for saying they're setting me up w/ a "speacialist" when in actuality, he's only a pa who gives wrong diagnosis.

so duffner actualy looks at my MRI, something townsend didnt do, and see's that i have a bucket tear of my miniscus which is where it tears then folds under which is why i cant straighten my knee, also that i have a complete tear of my ACL.
wonderful.

so now not only am i going to have the plate removed from my shoulder but in the same surgery process i am going to have orthoscopic surgery for my miniscus and reconstructive surgery for my ACL...

lovely...just lovely...

and and these are both on my right side AND since im having surgery on my knee i'll be on crutches(again) but im also having surgery on my shoulder...

see how that just doesnt seem like it will work?

ok so for those of you who actually know me know that i have been limpin around on my right knee due to two consecutive snowbaording injuries
also
that i had my MRI on wednesday

well my doctor just calld me and the results of the MRI

i tore my miniscus and mightve slighty tore my ACL

so yeah you guys know how much this sucks
and how much more worse this is only gonna get

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE pray that i have a fast rcovery from whatever procedure i have to have done.
im on the verge of crying im so bummed right now.

so yeah...pray that my recoop time is as short as my season was.

yet again another visit to the big bear medic room...i think im almost known by name there...

but yeah i sprained my right knee riding yesterday anfter landing hard off a jump... should only take me out like 2 weeks which is tormenting just to think about...but its better than the whole season and another surgery - but yeah the gods have definatly cursed my season or like the title says...maybe just bad karma...

wednesday december 21st 2005 -
ride perfect all day right?...go to b/s this flat rail that i've been OWNING all day... cought an edge and flew forward and hit my head on the side of the rail...

now i have 4 stitches on the ride side of my head above my eye and along my hairline...

lovely
