HEART

One broken thumb,
a torn ligament,
and a demolished ego.

I woke in the
morning to a crackling
spine and brttle
muscles.

This body
could not take any more
abuse.

As I lay there
in he snow i cried
behind my goggles.

I had nothing more to give.
