Today I got pulled over. Don't you just hate that sinking feeling in your stomach when you see those flashing lights? Sh*t, nothing good will come of this. So according to the officer I was doing 50 mph in a 30. And why is it they always ask you if you know why you got pulled over? What's the point? They already know, why ask? And what freaking difference does it make whether you know or not...your gonna find out soon anyway.
"Do you know what the speed limit is here?"
(Again, why are you asking ME?)
"No officer, I don't."
"It's 30, do you know how fast you were going?"
"No."
"50 mph"
"Ok"
"Anything 20 mph over the speed limit is an automatic arrest."
"Your kidding right? You're going to arrest me for speeding?"
He looks at me, looks down at his paperwork, and looks casually back at his car, clearly pondering whether or not he's going to completely f*ck up my day.
"No. I'll give you a break, THIS time, and write you up at 45. This better not happen again."
Well well, it's my lucky day.
