Well, am packing my bags to head to Red Bull Fuel and Fury 2006, set in the Alaska backcountry. This is my first time being involved with Fuel and Fury. It is also my first time to Alaska, so I am stoked to be teamed up with AK local Dan Phillips. Dan and I are both amped on this comp, we are both trying to prepare as much as possible.
This year’s Fuel and Fury is new format, and is a contest based on the very latest technology. Red Bull is issuing each of the 16 teams a HD camera to shoot a 2-4 minute video segment over a week’s time in the area surrounding Anchorage. On top of the camera, each team is given edit time on Apple G5’s with Final Cut 5 software. On April 15th all the edited segments will be posted the Red Bull Fuel and Fury website where viewers vote for which one they like the most.
