My lip hurts today. I think it's my stupid hair on my face. But it keeps me from looking 13!
Last Sunday was the last day of the season at Stevens Pass. It was pretty fun. Nice weather, decent snow, and the pond skimming event was hilarious. El came out to ride the PNW again the day before and got some runs through the park with him. Too bad he missed the fun on Sunday though. Looks like Alpy will be open in to May, and of course Baker to the end of April. So I'll probably hit either up a couple times before I pack it in. Last hoorah will be Mt. Bachelor, May 17th weekend. That will kick ass. Then it's on to mountain bikes and BBQs!! Bring on the summer.

Well, I had been interviewing last week for a new position. I found out yesterday that I got it. I'm not quite a senior designer yet, but this position definitely helps get me there. Come March 17th, I'll be a UX designer (User Experience... that's visuals and UI design).

I think I had too much chicken and short ribs for lunch today. Now my stomach feels like it's gonna pop.

Well, after being Peyton's coach for many years, he's now on his school team. He went through a two week tryout and made the 7th grade team. I'm pretty happy for him. He has worked hard. I can't wait to just be a "spectator" in the stands, rather than a hollering coach from the bench. I suppose I'll still coach the team, but it will just be the spring league.
And with my shoulder feeling a lot better, it's about time I started playin' again!

It's a La Nina year... that typically means more precip and cooler temps... translating to more snow in dem der mountins. No guarantee, but La Nina winters in the past have been know for their plentiful snow falls. The last La Nina year was '99... that was Baker's record breaking year. Not sayin' it will happen again, but one can dream.

I haven't done an sb.com blog in a while, so I'll do a little catching up. I got shoulder surgery in June to fix my torn labrum. The doc was pleased and everything is healing up great. Almost back to 100%... or at least as 100 as I can get now.
I have been building a new deck all summer. It's been a bit of a project. I had to dig out some of my backyard because it slopes down. Then put up a retaining wall... that was a nightmare, but we found the right route eventually and it looks good. It's almost complete, just need to finish up the railing and get the hot tub deliever (next Wednesday!!)
Just got my newest tattoo outlined last night. Looks pretty good so far. I go in for the final touches in 3 weeks.
So, that's that in a nutshell. I'm a blogged up.
Last hoorah at Bachelor last weekend. Season is officially over for me. I could hike to some snow and do some summer ridin', but my arm keeps falling off, and I need a doctor to fix it. So, I'll be takin' the summer off from all physical activities and gettin' ready for next season.
My dumbass cat got in another fight (daily occurance) and got bit on his face. It got infected and he had to have minor surgery today. It cost me 300 bucks to fix his fat face!! What an idiot. Now he has to wear a cone. This is the second surgery like this in the last 6 months. I'm gonna get him a helmet and a vest if this keeps up.

It was the last weekend at Alpental this weekend. Pretty kick ass. Hit it up for Cinco de Mayo. Hit a few runs, then BBQed in the upper lot. Hit it again today. Pretty much the same deal.
It was my third day at Amazon. Pretty cool so far. There's a Starbucks on the 40th floor. I haven't been there yet, but I've been to the one in the lobby.
It was the last day of the season at Baker. Good day. There were a lot of dogs in the parking lot. I'm hopin' Alpy stays open next weekend.
I got this Autodesk coffee cup from work for designing a gameboard for a salescamp they were putting on. It's a great coffee cup. It has a big handle, and I have big hands. I like it, it's going to stay in my collection.
Roman, Charlie and I hit up the Grenade Games at Snoqualmie. There were some people throwing down and jumpin' over a mechanical bull. I watched and ate a free hot dog, but I did give a one dollar donation to the hot dog guy.
I know, I know. I'm in the same boat. Don't really want winter to end, but kind of want those sunny days to hurry up and get here. The only thing I'm looking forward to this summer is getting my shoulder fixed... finally!! June 15th is my surgery date. Then it's physical therapy all summer to get it back in form for next season. So, since I can't really do anything physical all summer, I guess I'll be chillin' out a lot, havin' BBQs and drinkin'... and of course, wearing a few tanktops and enjoying the nice weather.
So, it looks like I will be swappin' jobs... again. I have been in interviews with Amazon.com. My buddy who works there got me in. I received a call today with an official offer. Only thing pending is me signing the papers with HR and a background check... which shouldn't have any hickups. I'm pretty amped about this move. I'll be a level 2 designer and be able to work with one of my best friends.
Tank top weather is around the corner. In fact, the weather people have predicted a 70 degree day here in Seattle this coming Friday. Hmmmm, what to wear... what to wear, indeed.
I got a new tattoo the other day and now it's all flakey like a bad sunburn.
It was nice spring day today. I had a lot of fun and saw a little red fox off in the trees at Stevens. I wanted to pick him up, but he climbed a tree... and he probably would have bit me anyway.
I went to Mt. Bachelor this past weekend and saw two squirrels and ate 3 cheeseburgers. I also had a chocolate candy treat.

Roman and I built a tune shop in downstairs of my house this last weekend. It's fabulous. I handles all my snowboard and snowboard accessories storage and tuning needs.
I charge 15 bucks for a hot wax, 25 for a wax and tune, 5 bucks for a quick spray wax... but the beer is free!! Especially if you bring it.
