Today I woke up at about 6AM and spent some time praying and reading then had some breakfast at NORTHSTAR. The morning was going slow and I finally left NORTHSTAR around 9:30 to drive to Gifu for a very special date. My friend Kirsty took Hannah for a walk at this really pretty pond in Gifu at about 2:00 and I arrived there about 2:30 to wait in the car park for just the right moment. Hannah and Kirsty walked around the lake and then came to the side where I was waiting. I could hear them coming and laughing as they walked. Hannah had no idea I was there, she thought I was watching a movie with the rest of the NORTHSTAR staff. Then Kirsty says to Hannah "I need to get my camera" and walks to her car that was parked right next to mine and gives me the thumbs up and says under her breath "good luck". I walked up to the small bridge that Hannah was waiting on and she turned around expecting to see Kirsty and was thinking "dang Kirsty is fast". And then she realized who I was. I told her that I Loved her and that I needed to ask her a question. The proceeded to get down on one knee and say the famous words "will you marry me" and she said YES. Every time we see each other it takes a while to get use to being around one another because it's always such a long time between visits. Until yesterday it had been over 10 weeks since the last time we had seen each other. So this was an extra big surprise. The pond was so beautiful and will remain a vivid memory in our hearts and minds forever. We took another walk around and enjoyed the beauty of it all and thanked God for Loving us so much and for blessing us beyond our dreams. This really is not our Love story, it's God's Love story to us.
We spend the rest of the afternoon at a quiet little cafe house called Natu Cafe in Gifu where we talked and laughed and thought back over the last 10 months that we have been dating. It was a beautiful day. The rest of the evening was also very special as we went out to a beautiful Italian restaurant. All I can say is that God has worked this out and it is God who is the source of our Love. We could never produce such grand Love without a model to follow. That model is our heavenly Father and we are so thankful.
