About Me

I live in the Rose City...Portland, OR.  I'm about an hour and a half away from Mt. Hood Meadows.  I go riding every weekend and try to play hooky once in awhile from work and ride mid week. During the week I'm generally working and going to school.  I'm 23 and just enjoying life as it comes right now.  I've been riding for a long time and plan on riding for a long time to come.

Ok. So I'm going to explain about my saturday riding session with a FTW (for the win) vs FTL (for the loss); lets begin....

FTW:
 - 6 inches of fresh snow in the tree's with nice 'not to choppy' main groomed runs.
 - Keeping speed in the park despite new snow
 - Riding solid in the park
 - Yelling at people in the park to get out of your way and then having them clapping for your trick once you've landed it.
 - No wind
 - No precipitation
 - Vegetate '08
 - Beer for lunch breaks
 - Good crew to ride with

FTL:

 - Crowded parks
 - Douche bag skiiers in the park
 - Smashing your face into the snow with no landing gear
 - Get a resulting headache from said face smash
 - Getting snow inside your goggles
 - Having boots to small
 - Needing to use chains on a RWD car
 - Having idiots run into your female riding buddy
 - Having to get ready to fight said idiots and have them back down after them yelling.
 - Did I say smashing face into snow?
 - Getting cut off at the wall ride 3 times in a row.

It really was a fun day and all 3 of us rode super good. Just a bummer that idiots ride too.

conflict of interest with rome and signal, i could see. did you make it through work alright?  any crazy weekend plans?  it started dumping this afternoon about 1/2 hour before the lifts closed.  i'm suppose to pump up my friend and get her into the park tomorrow, but if it's a pow day, park is just gonna have to wait.

i was talking to a guy last night who has ridden at meadows for the last 8 years and just switched over to t-line this year.  he's on tour with some company on this university rail jam that's going to western campuses.  not that you probably know the guy, but i figured i'd share my lame story.

gettin down and fresh with your tunes in your new photo, yeah?

yeah, man! gotta jump at any sunny days in the NW.  did you ride this weekend?

eric singer, i believe is his name.  i told one of my park city friends (originally from portland) about this guy and it turns out he knew the kid too.  maybe you even know my friend... erik rolerkite.

i've been on a snowboard binge and i thought that with monday, i'd have to suck it up in the office all day...but managed about 1.5 hours of pow riding today.  should have another storm rollin in on thursday. word!
