Monarch is pretty sick: it's location on the continental divide is an ample spot for snow, there's no lift lines and the new terrain they're opening, Mirkwood Basin, delivers some pretty gnar steeps and cliffs; Mirkwood is hike-to double-black backcountry terrain.
