General InfoTiffindell Ski Resort is situated in the Southern Drakensberg on the slopes of Ben Mc Dhui, the highest mountain peak in the Cape Province(3001m). The resort was started in 1994 with basic small accommodation, a rough road and few facilities. It is now under major upgade and expansion, so check the website for details!
The resort also boasts the highest bar in South Africa at an altitude of 2720m above sea level. Ask about the upside down skiing and polar bear club when you arrive.
There are a variety of 3/4 night packages available which include equipment rental and dinner, bed and breakfast in lodge/chalet style accomodation on the resort. You can also stay off the resort and ski or snowboard for as little as ZAR 196.00(Rand) per day. Check website for updated ticket prices.
