Life's meaning
- for the record. i didnt think of this. i found it. lol
I sought for lifes meaning,
I looked everywhere.
My journey unceasing,
on land, sea or air.
I walked in the forests,
the deserts and plains.
Then still in confusion,
I started again.
I climbed the high mountains,
and stood on the peak.
To see the dark ocean,
spread out at my feet.
I saw the sun dying,
in flames in the west.
But finding no answer,
I still could not rest.
I crossed the wild oceans,
I travelled the seas.
I flew in the heavens,
on wings of the wind.
But where was the answer,
I searched sadly for.
On earth or in heaven,
I had to search more.
But then in a whisper,
I heard a quiet voice.
That spoke of salvation,
for me and for you.
It told me to question,
my heart and my soul.
And find there the reason,
for my long sought goal.
The reason was Jesus,
the meaning - His love.
In vain all my travelling,
for He was within.
Had I but once listened,
as I listen now.
My journey is over,
at home in His care.
