I think I’m going out of my mind
And everything’s a mess
So terribly confused
Not sure what I’m doing anymore
Wishing that maybe you’d find me
Hold me close and keep me
Like leaves falling from a tree
Scattered thoughts a mess
Incoherent to the weather I’m feeling
And all the days gone by
Missing you all the same
Your silly smile that day
When my hand grazed yours
And I’m wasting away
Each day gone by without you
We’re slipping further away
To a land full of pain

Only wanting to soothe
Your pain and mine
To be closer to you
My hand outstretched
Waiting for you to take me
Wrapping me with your love
And I don’t expect perfection
Loving the reality of chaos
Life’s simple comfort
Just take me further
Look into these eyes
And tell me something
You’ve already won me over
Not sure what you’re scared of
Erase this pain of ours
Just take my hand
And it’ll be okay
To be closer to you
Not to feel so alone
For this time together
Could be of a season greater
There’s nothing to fear
Nothing but a dream
Gone by and past
