he was such a great kid
popular athletic good in school
he had everything going for him
he appeared to be cool

but on the inside he was hurting
so much pain he couldn't take
he felt his life had no purpose
that he was one big mistake

soon he couldnt take it
nothing was going good
he didnt give like any effort
he wasnt trying like he should

he wasnt happy
nothing was going right
he made the worst decision
one warm spring night

he went for a walk
and ended up at a park
he hung himself from a tree
no one saw cuz it was dark

the next day at school
everyone was crying and really sad
no one could belive
he was hurting so bad

his life was over
taken at 16
so much he missed out on
so much he didnt see

he never got to graduate
have kids or a wife
he never waited to see
what coulda happend to his life

things would have gotten better
they would have been ok
but he gave things no chance
now theres nothing left to say
