What's hidden can not be seen
What's hidden is seen by others
You cannot see the hidden
For you do not want it to be seen
What's shown is seen by you
What's shown is not seen by others
For you want others to see
What you do not really see yourself

in darkness and sadness
the sun learns to shine upon us
to show us there is always hope
it peaks through the clouds
and shines throughout the sky
showing us a light that shines so bright
when we sit in darkness

Because you take my breath away
Because you put me up on cloud nine
Because you are the one I would go to heaven and back for
Because you are the reason I wake up in the morning
Because you are the one I dream about when I am alone at night
Because you are the one I see when I close my eyes
Because you are the one I want to spend time with
Because you make my heart races when you speak
Because you make butterflies appear

Because you are there for me when nothing goes my way
Because you are the one who opened up my heart to love
Because you are always there for me when I am down with the blues
Because you know what is in my heart
Because you can always make me smile
Because you can always make me laugh
Because you see who I really am
Because you always cheer me up when my sky is painted grey

as i sit at my window
i stare up towards the sky.
the moon and stars shimmer
causing longing in my heart.
as the moon and stars shine down on me
a star for every wish
a wish that may not come true.
i long for someone in my life
that i can someday be with.
i look up at the north star
and wonder where are you
are you looking at my star.
hearts connected as one
no matter where you are
i'll long for you forever
as long as you're my shining star.
