A POEM OF HOPE
TO THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN HIT CLOSEST BY THE TRAGEDY

This poem of hope comes from my heart
That this day is now over and another will start
The sun will rise and will set
This tragedy we will never forget

This poem of hope is not of lies
It is full of the truth of the tears in our eyes
To all we cast our best wishes and prayers
For this day of mourning each American shares

This poem of hope not of malice or hate
But to reflect on those who have died in the wake
Try and focus on the good not of the bad
So many memories yet to be had

This poem of hope is put into action
By the brave men and women working without satisfaction
Seemingly working devoid of rest
Their inhuman efforts surpasses the best

This poem of hope
For those still unaccounted
And those to find them
