Would they know that I cared if I wasn’t here tomorrow
Could they think of the good times or get wrapped up in the sorrow
What would I say if these words were my last
And would they mean anything to the people from my past
I would tell the ones I love how much they mean to me
Id say that it’s alright cause this is how it’s meant to be
I would wipe the tears from my mother’s eyes
Tell her that I lover her and kiss her goodbye
I would tell my dad how he was always the best
How he stole his little girl’s heart right out from her chest
And even though he never got to walk me down the isle
That I would be walking by his side all the while
I would thank my family for always being there for me
How if I can protect them while in heaven, then I always would be
Id tell my big brother I’d miss growing up by his side
But that I know in his heart, I will always reside
Id tell my friends that I loved them and they were tons of fun
Tell them not to worry, that my adventure’s just begun
And in my last few breaths, looking up in my lovers eyes
I would only say that I love you and tell you not to cry
Because I know that in your heart, you can see me say it all
I will always be holding onto you, even after I fall


i used one line of this poem from another poem that i read on snowboard.com it was a good line (i would wipe the tear from my mothers eyes), i cant remember whos it was, but if you let me know ill give u credit for it if ud like..

Started off so perfect, it seemed a dream come true
Never thought I would fall in love with some quite like you
Each day was the beginning of a happy memory
Piece by piece we slowly made our history
I was head over heels every time I looked at you
And I knew in my heart you felt the same way too
Then it just all seemed to quickly fall apart
Hard to believe the pain that began to fill my heart
And after a while the laughs all turned to sorrow
Wondering if we’d even make it to tomorrow
Realizing that there was no one to blame
I began to think we would never be the same
Too hard to hold on, and too hard to let go
What could have been, we may never know
And I wonder if, our decisions were so clever
But swallowing the pain, I let go of forever.
