Just relax a little
SNOWBOARDING; AMUSING CAR RIDES, BRISKY CHAIRLIFTS, EXHILERATING POWDER, FAT LIPS, GOING SO FAST YOUR EYES WATER, HUMOROUS BIFFS, BOOTS TOO TIGHT, BREATH-TAKING VEIWS, BOOTS TOO LOOSE, PEE BREAKS, HATRED FOR MOGLES, ROCK GARDENS, SKINNY TRAILS, DAMNED SKI OUTS, THE GREAT FRIENDS, UNEXPECTED ROCKS, THE EVEN BETTER FRIENDS; SNOWBOARDING

Well, there’s a lot I have to say about snowboarding. There is waaaayyy too many people that take this amazing sport too seriously. Isn’t it supposed to be you getting out there having fun with your friends and trying new stuff? Isn’t it supposed to be about goofing off, and not caring to make a fool of yourself (after all how often is it that your whole face and body is unrecognizable)? Since when was it essential to be able to do a kink rail and a 10 foot table before you’re actually GOOD at snowboarding? What is the definition of a good snowboarder? In my opinion, there is no definition. A definition is just another guide line, another rule. If you’re somebody like me, there is no rules, there never was a yellow rope with a "caution: avalanche area" sign attached. I just ride with what feels right. And if I’m not ready to do something that I’m not prepared for, then don’t make a big deal out of it. I just go by my gut. Just PLEASE stop taking snowboarding so damn seriously. its GREAT that people push themselves to go bigger, and i enjoy that aswell, but its perfectly fine to have fun once in a while too. Its OK if you biff once in a while, you don’t need to blame it on how sketch the jump lip was, or the snow was too slick, so you got too much speed. Just accept the fact that everyone makes mistakes and JUST LAUGH ABOUT IT, IT SURE MAKES THINGS A LOT MORE SIMPLE!!. I'm pretty sure this is the only BEAUTIFUL sport out there, and if I could sum up what puts snowboarding together in the LEAST amount of words, then all of this would have to be it. And I am sure there are tons of other people that feel the exact same way as me....I’m pretty sure that’s all I have to say, so next time you go riding, just think about this and maybe it will give you a whole new perspective on hitting up the mountains.

People change or they just ...
In everyone's life there is point when you start to wonder if you know someone anymore. People tend to change ..some for the better, some for the worst ... but the question is do they realy change or they simply adopt to to changing world around us. I live in a small town in Bulgaria called Silistra. I used to "know" alot of people. We used to hang around skating, drinkin` and in the winter hitting the slopes.. there was nothing else in the world for us! From 20-30 people i came to realise that a few weaks ago i was sitting with 2 absolute strangers on the same bentch where we used to gather. Most of the people stopped skating ..some of them moved ...others just became fashion tv boys/girlz and sort of pretended we didn't exist. Last night a miricle happened! The same 20-30 people the bentch, skatboards , lots of booze. What happened ?! I will tell you what heppened ...
You can't run away from who you are and what you want nomather how hard the world around you may be! Stick to your friends and never turn your back on snowboarding and the culture that follows it because one day you are bound to wake up and think "WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING" and it may be already too late!

SO RIDE ON! ROCK ON!

bye to small ski town
AHHHHHH the hype. I heard about it, read it in magizines never really experienced it in my little ski town. Two weeks ago I moved to Whistler. From Lake Louise to Whistler big step. Some how this ski town isn't the same. I feel like I'm in the city again. People don't smile and say hello when they pass eachother, there's no dingy little local bars blaring punk to get kicked out of. The girls dress up in mini skirts all glamed up, the bars are shiny and sparkly playing bad hip hop.... I feel as tho I don't fit into this ski town.  Which in itself makes no sense. Is this even a ski town? Where are the loud mangy locals? I have spent the last two years running amok in the Canadian Rockies. No judgement no accepted style. Is this the direction of the lifestlye I chose to lead? Why has the community changed?  Where is it going? Is this where i want to be. I want things they way they used to be small town style. I miss it. Now watching TV i see a new seires comming out. It's actually called Whistler ahhhh so now we live in some one tree hill bullshi*t?  A group of us moved together hear from the lake and we all agree we all feel it. Oh well i guess we just go with the flow the dream of simplicity that at one time defined our lifestyle is dead.........blah

Antonio Lobos el hombre de ...

Nombre: Toño Lobos

Edad: 40 tacos

Botas: 58 haaaaa  ,, 42 real ,, polivalente , ideal free ride

Interview with Andrew Hardi...
mug.jpg Full Name: Andrew ZINK Hardingham
Home Town: Banff Alberta,Canada, Earth
Sponsors: Drop, Ride, 686, Etnies, 32 boots, Vestal, Technine, Vonziper, Rudeboys.

First off we want to know, were you actually raised by dolphins?

oh yes. my mother was a dolphin and i loved her with all my heart. it wasn't easy though. she could hold her breath 70 times as long as me and could handle depths much greater then my cerebellum. but it never came in the way of our rich family love. she lost her lover to a tuna boat before i was found. i never got to meet him but mother taught me his clicks and to this day i still use them.

How was life growing up as Andrew?

well the grass was always green if that's what you mean. i was a happy kid that valued happiness over most things. i still live like that. i travel, buy and read porno mags when ever i feel like it. even if a cute girl is working the counter at MAX. I'm crazy

Anything you want to get off your chest?

there is no time for all my ranting. if its snowboarding related then it would have to be the lack of creativity. snowboarders are lame. they have no originality anymore, period.  the ones that do are few and far between and don't get the coverage they deserve. some made it through. like Jeremy Jones (big mountain), Travis Rice, and Travis Parker. but most will never be seen because the industry is made up of the most boring and unique-less people.

666.jpg

Can you explain what a fegit is?

that's a harsh word. how ever it does exist and i would be a hypocrite to act like it doesn't. i have always called it a Fajotey. its smoother that way. not that the act of a faj is smooth. unless it been going on for a long time and its well lubed. i think it might mean HAPPY.

What’s your favourite thing to eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner?

when i am dreaming and i happen to be eating its normally a huge round lump of orange meet (i think) so i guess my dream food would be just that. but i don't think it really exists so im going to have to go with cereal, sandwich, and noodles. sometimes i use the metaphor " i could eat that for breakfast lunch and dinner" when im referring to powder in Japan. so i guess as a man of my word, i to would have to say Japanese powder.

Do you have a favourite animal?

i used to love the cheetah a great deal. its speed and agility are top gun on my scale of cool traits. but lately when im playing a game where im an animal running through the forest after my pray, im always a demon panther. thats a panther that was spawned from satin and somehow still has to hunt its pray. it feels cool though so im going to go with that.

Are you happy with how the season went this year?

im always happy with my seasons.. even if there is no snow im cool with it because you have to get creative and grow some balls. most riders just bitch about no snow because they can't do there cab 900 to there back. well i say learn to do them to your feet and you'll be able to do them any time in any amount of snow ya fag. as for reading the terrain. its way easier when there is a ton of snow. so it teaches you to be a better rider when the snow is lacking.

 heli.jpg

Did you get to travel to any locations outside of BC Canada?

well other than Alberta i hit up Japan/Hokkaido, New Zealand, and Colorado for a bit. it wasn't a big travel year for me because i wanted to keep it real in the rockies. i love traveling. it the reason why i snowboard. well that and get rad amounts of stickers.

How’s life filming with Sandbox?

Sandbox is the only film that i can have creative control of my part. thats something you can't get from other movies. see when you watch some of the big movies made today your watching maybe 3 peoples creative input. most of them don't ride much or even see what the rider saw that day the shot was filmed. with Sandbox, the riders, filmers, and editors are one and the same. i know what shot was rad. i know what went in to that shot and i know the energy it has and will be felt by the viewer. i get to edit my own part in the films so i can bring exactly what i want to the table. thats a really cool thing and rare if not blue rare.

camera.jpg

What do you think about before dropping down some huge cliff, like your shot on the cover of SBC?

i don't think much. thinking is what gets you all f*cked up. your body is implanted with the task of keeping you safe and if i decide to drop some huge cliff then my body and brain will do everything to try to talk me out of it. thats when the body releases adrenalin and the fear emotion is brought up.

you have to learn to ignore everything your body was designed to do, in order to risk life and limb. thats why i like doing things like that. it teaches you to trust your abilities and not your primal urges. if you can concur that you can truly control your self in any situation of life...... that or I'm an idiot.

I hear you have a huge collection of home made videos?

i make videos that never see the light of day. thats how i like it. i don't like when they are censored or changed to meet fagy parent controls. that really pisses me off. so f*ck the world. they will never get to see them and im sure life will go on just as planned.

sno.jpg

To set the record straight, what's the story behind all the celebrity photos  that are signed (by you) hanging up around your house?

well what is an autograph exactly? its something to show off your cock size right. therefore its nothing to do with the person who has it as much as the person reading it. so i cut out the middle man. there just a bunch of porn stars with dirty little messages of love. they keep me in the loop.

What do you do during the summer months?

i travel a lot. i try to hit 3 international destinations a year. it keeps me sane. i love going to new places and getting myself in over my head. seeing if you can survive gang green in a swamp in Cambodia or questions like "does my internal compass really work as good as i think.

What new trend in snowboarding do you wish did not exist?

most of them. trends are everything gay about this sport. the funny part is they are the very thing that keeps it going the way it does. there are so few riders now that just love the shi*t out of the sport. if i owned a company i would love trends because i would make a ton of cash off all the suckers. that's how it works strait up. it is hard to stay away from trends though. they are every were and they keep us looking good. so maybe i don't know what im talking about.

What new trend would you like to see?

big booty ho's everywhere. like huge asses. rad booty yah

Do you have any predictions for the future?

lots... the world will be screwed by rich business men with no concern for the world. just for their wallets and shiny cars that help them bang gold digging bitches, strait up.

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when I say:

Jungle:   fever

Pop Tarts:   girls with white make up

Soft:   50 cent

Fegit:   pooping weird shapes

Madonna:   stolen style and sound and a good head for marketing

Dog:   fighting a golden retriever... and winning

Motor Boat:   Kamloops

Book:   dictionary

Water:    hydrate or dye mutha f*ckah

Well that’s about all for now, thanks Andrew.  Any last shout outs or thanks?
