ok well back to fja fanatics... life is going. I've been doing a new job at my resort, so instead of teaching full-time which i love, i'm in the office doing all the paperwork and running the concession ski schools on my mtn. It gives me set hours and good pay, but i'm starting to miss teaching snowboarding. So i think i'll start teaching again soon while still holding my income for the good job. Christmas is coming up yay, got a empty house practically since our new roommates won't move in until after Christmas. So hopefully we'll get a tree going up and put our presents below. I got Christmas day off and the day after, which is awesome for a resort to let me do. Christmas, Avran and I are heading to my parents cabin in Skykomish for a huge family dinner with all my relatives. It'll be a great change because finally Avran and my dad can be around each other. Doesn't mean it'll go great, but hey family and my boyfriend hanging out is awesome news to me. Oh yes and i got accepted to the Teacher Certification Program at Central, so i will start getting my cert completed in January and hopefully complete it in a year or two.

from what i understnad, things didnt work out with everyone living there. but i dont know any details, so i shouldnt really talk haha. and so here it is. its 4:10 in the morning. and im still awake. ...AGAIN! everyday this week ive been up after 4am. i think i discovered why i dont sleep much. its because im scared to. in the last week, ive had 3 dreams i can remember. all of them were morbid as fuck. with at least one person getting killed/killing themselves in some of the worst ways imagineable. i dont like seeing that kinda shit when im recharging the batteries. its terrible. maybe i'll make a blog and go way more in depth with it all. but yea. new job starting tomorrow. im back to dishwashing. its rad! and i have 8 days of riding under my belt. i didnt get out at all since last saturday because i was too drunk or way too sick with a gay cold joe decided to share with me. but the way i see it. until now, my longest season was 15 days. so im about 1/2 done any other season ive ever rode. im pretty excited. now all we need is snow. its in the forcast. we just have stupid high freezing levels expected >=|

Good to hear you are working Steve, what restaurant? I figure I will be up there tomorrow (Tues) to work, and back Wed to go to the Canucks game. And did anyone else think the reffing was awful on Saturday? Damn McGoo! It's a rainy dull boring day here, I have a fire going and am just screwing around on my computer. I'm too lazy to Christmas shop and I would rather have my teeth pulled anyway, so I end up doing it at the last minute which isn't much better. Bleh. Oh well, riding tomorrow. (Unless I teach newbies, in which case I hardly get on the board at all.) :( It's gotta snow soon, then there will be some pow to make it all worthwhile. damn it'll probably snow in January when I am in Cali. grrrr.

where in california you going? january is when we start to get real snow anyway....ride here. but don't say cali. man, i hate that. i still have not been boarding at all this season, it's quite depressing. on the other hand, it's mainly cuz i've been busy with other cool stuff, so not sooooo terrible. i'm getting kind of bored though. nothing to study. no papers left to grade. my clinic's closed for the next couple weekends, so nothing to do for that. finished all my christmas shopping (btw, it's all about online shopping...i hate malls and crowds both). can't take the dog out cuz it's been pissing rain the last few days. can't go for a bike ride for the same reason. i need to rake my front yard, but i don't particularly care to do that in the rain either. blehhhhh.

my hair appt is in one week! so excited. been waiting like a year to get this cut (long story). So i'm at my new branch (they are nice...but I have to get them in banking shape...the auditors would not be pleased) and i'm way busy here. Move from HELL on sunday. snow and ice in portland, garrett's driving a very heavy rear wheel drive van. took us 3 hours to get through portland. spent most of it stopped in the biggest traffic jam ever. it was not pretty. but i'm in tacoma now...just in time for the busyness of christmas.

First day on the hill today, but it rained and was generally crappy. My students were cool, which rescued the day. They had fun and laughed at my goofy jokes which was cool. I read Steve's post thinking "Not sure if I've ever heard of Apres"??? Then read "$40 per entre" and then I knew why I haven't at least been there! Went to Citta's for dinner and a beer, and it was all good. Hockey game tomorrow (Wednesday) Hopefully we will kick some Oiler sack. Knock em back to the Prairies crying. (Aw screw it, we all know that the Canucks will blow a 2 goal lead and lose in a shootout!) Snow, dammit, snow!

so i get a free meal when i work. its one of my job perks. i tried phesant for the first time today. it wasnt bad. nothing i'd order if i had the chance. but definitely a good way to end my night. we got so rolled tonight! i showed up at 4. do my usual cleaning of the dinigh room. get to the dishes and they were piled high! by about 6, i was done all those dishes, and i had the chance to just stand around. the calm before the storm, as it were. then about 10 minutes later, the bills started coming in. the whole restaurant was pretty much seated at the exact same time. so 70 dinners came in at once. appetizer, entré, dessert. so thats 210 dishes to make. and thats only the first group haha. so the cooks were doing their thing and i had to stand around and watch because i had nothingto clean and i dont know how to help with any dishes yet. then it was my turn to get raped. every dish that gets cooked gets cooked in at least one pan at some point in the cooking process. so i had to clean these pans over and over and over again. they alone were enough to keep me busy most of the night. then i had dishes and cutlery and other pots and shit. it was so busy we actually ran out of plates a few times. i had none to wash and they had none to plate food on. but i dunno. it's mindless work, but the cooks are all cool. i always get a free beer at the end of the shift. free food. i cant complain. just wish i got paid a bit more. but this is a start for me. i just want to find some graphic design work on the side. also. i got a canaduh post notice for something in the mail. im thinking its my secret santa thing. but yea. i got my first notice on friday evening. they closed early on saturday so i never got a chance to go in. sunday they were closed. and monday i never got a chance to go again. but i got home after work yesterday and i got my final notice to pick up the package. first notice one business day. final notice the next. good ol' canaduh post. and i still have another week and a half to pick it up. stupid douchebags hahaha
