The real brews are still weak at the non social clubs.  They can try to spin it as much as you like but you WILL taste a difference.  Not talking bud, but a Guiness, Fat Tire, or in my case I got a Hef at it definitely did not have as much "flavor".  Take it for what it is.  The hassle around there is plenty just to get a good beer.  State run liquor stores, state mandated "cover charge" etc...

don't get me started on the Guinness there!  first and only time I ever ordered a guinness in SLC it was fucking carbonated!  I took one bloody sip and pushed it back at the bartender couldn't even finish it was so disgusting.
Hope:
everything will be okay in the end.
if it is not okay, then it is not the end.

For good food and a great beer selection make sure to check out Downstairs at Eric's in Breck.  There is usually a wait but it never took as long as they said.  I ate there both nights I was in town.

just don't stand up to the punk kids there, I got kicked out cause I wasn't having it when some punk kid decided to be a smart ass.  I wish my girl wasn't there I would have really liked to beat a lesson into those dumb asses.

everything will be okay in the end.

I've gone through the same ponderings.   In the past I've hit Breck in Early April.  One thing nice about bringing your lady to Breck, if you want to take a day on the hill, she can chill in town.  Kill, I agree that Utah has much better deals than Summit, that holds more true in the peak than in the late-season.  I've found some killer deals to Breck in Early April, and with Easter being so late, this year there won't be too big of a flood of tourons like myself.  Last year, Easter/Spring Break was the 3rd week of March.....there were idiots everywhere!!!  However, a few years ago, Breck was peaceful over April 4th easter week.

I'm trying to decide if I want to go back to Utah where the riding is much cheaper for a lift ticket, or back to Summit Co where there is much more entertainment after 5 PM.   I also like the closer Proximity of the Hills to the airport in SLC compared to Denver.  Its not much, but it helps if you are trying to squeeze an extra riding day on arrival or departure days.

As for the beers in Utah.....yes, they do have some goofy laws, but it is more akin to a cover charge, as Kill had mentioned.  I've paid larger covers in some Summit Bars, so I figure it to be a wash.  Drinking in Utah isn't that bad.  (Especially if you are in PC during Sundance!!!)

Either trip will be killer

No joke man.

I ordered two pancakes, two eggs, hashbrowns and bacon and couldn't finish it. Hell, I ate half of it and I was starving. All for under $6...in the summer.

I think you made the best choice - breck has the whole western meets the alps vibe and is a good party, plus the terrain is excellent imo and varied

yea im definately stoked... for you locals, what is the snow like during that time? I'm bringing skis and a snowboard but since im only bringing one I'm trying to decide between my Burton Hero 155 for park and groomers or bringing my neversummer SL-r which I don't like for park as much but it freerides like a beast

haha true... just trying to decide if the snow is going to be good enough to bring a board i would use for mostly freeride or something that is a little more playful. Im leaning towards my NS either way because it can still function as a park board anyway

But your park is going to be nothing like what I'm riding everyday at Breckenridge or Keystone. Don't get me wrong, Seven Springs is a super fun place, but Breckenridge is a whole different animal.

The snow then is going to be fun in the morning and suck after 12.

My friend Shawn just got a 155 hero and he did some wet pow with it today with no problems.

Just for reference, I did Lake Chutes off of Peak 8 with a Rome Headroom last year. I've rode pow to my chest with my 155 Evo-R and have no issues.

Why not bring both boards?  It's not like it really takes up any additional room w/o bindings.  There is a good chance you could wind up with lots of good snow and it would suck not to take advantage of it.

Never, never, ski even if there is pussy involved.  The only exception allowed is accessing the back country.

eh I do what I enjoy, not looking for acceptance from the general population of a snowboard community for skiing.

I got into it mostly for carrying my camera equipment on the mountain because skis are more stable from to back, but I actually enjoy skiing because it makes my shitty home mountain fun again

I still don't see how bringing ski's stops you from bringing two boards.  Just unmount the bindings and if the problem is you have separate bindings for each board, only bring one set of them and switch them out as needed.   I have fit up to 6 boards(without bindings), two sets of bindings, one pair of boots, a helmet, ski pants, jacket, gloves, goggles, mitts...in my board bag.  Just think back to playing Tetris when packing and it is all gravy!

I don't feel like going back and reading what I already recommended, so if I said it already, just be happy I am not charging you for this info!

Breckenridge Brew pub has great food and you can always get a growler to take back to your condo for later for cheap beer and a souvenir all in one!  And if you like thai food My Thai is the bomb!

oh and if you are planning to do your grocery shopping to save on food it is cheaper to buy your groceries in Denver or even Silverthorne, so if you can stop on the way to breck it would be slightly cheaper.   Gas to! don't fill up in Breck make sure you fill up before you get there.
Hope:
everything will be okay in the end.
if it is not okay, then it is not the end.
