Snow is perfect right now. Nice and fluffy and forgiving. Terrain park is packed as usual. That kicker is huge! That's the biggest jump I've seen Wilmot build so far, and it's bigger than anything I've hit before. I'm going to need some time to work up the courage to hit it. I know I can, but I'm worried about not getting enough speed to clear it and I would hate to land flat on that thing.

today would be the best day to give it a shot man, you have nothing to loose, you probably wont get conditions like this pow for the rest of the season, im going to be headed up for a night session, just look for the idiot doing a 180 shifty then just start flailing in the air
anything you can do i can do switch

Just got a call from my buddy who is at Wilmot and he said he's never seen it this packed. He has been there 40 minutes so far and has only done one run. All the lifts have waits 15-25min. The shortest line he could find is at the lift by Inspiration and that one is about 15min long. I don't think I'll be going today :)

I'll be there tonight for a night sesh, I can't wait. The kicker you guys are talkin about sounds so sick, can't wait to go nd see it. Possibly hit it... lol

I'll let you guys know what happened.

Damn was it crowded today! I got there at like 11am but after a few runs the lines got so stupid I just went to the bar and drank until about 6pm. By that time the lines thinned out considerably and it was pretty smooth riding.

I did hit that kicker. It was surprisingly easy (I figured it would be, it still scared me looking at it from the lift). I couldn't get enough speed to clear it. I would straight line it from the top, suck in that first little roller to get more speed off of it, and I was still landing right on the flat/down transition of the table. Another foot or two and I would've been golden. I had a buddy take a video to see what I was doing and it looks like I just wasn't popping enough off the lip. Still, I figure they should build a kicker you can clear by going straight at it without the need to pop that much.

I'll keep hittin that jump and hopefully I'll get enough pop one day to clear it. I know it can be done, I've seen some guys do it. The snow is fantastic and I'll probably be back either tomorrow or Tuesday before the really cold air hits.

By the way, they're starting to shape moguls on exhibition now. It's that time of the year again.

Today was pretty good. Pow was so nice! The park was so nice, had a nice flat down box setup and the kicker wasn't that bad. I got a 3 off of it, almost a corked 5... but its not that bad, just could make the kicker a little bigger for more lift. There was a whole bunch of setups but yeah I agree for the first box. They really need to fix that landing, was horrible lol...

Well all I can say is that, Wilmot has been really stepping up in their park section. Props for them!

Eh I just copied it from what I said in the other Wilmot forum, basically yeah... lol explains it all.

And notroman, if you use those 2 rollers before the jump for speed, you can get just about enough, but you'll have to pop off the kicker also. Also helped since I had my board waxed, but i'm sure if you use those 2 you can get it. GL man

My board was waxed, and I tried to use those two rollers for speed. My problem is that I wasn't popping any off the lip. I only had 4 tries to hit the jump yesterday. I'm sure I'll get it next time I go out there.

Have fun man, I think I'm taking a break till the cold passes. My joints get all stiff when it's this cold out and riding becomes more of a chore than anything.

If you can't find a face mask get yourself a Turtlefur neck warmer at the shop, they're something like $9 and very very warm.

I was out there again tonight. Snow is great. I wasn't at the park at all so I can't say what shape it's in. They did build the boardercross run near state line again. It's that time of the season. It's not as good as the one last year, but pretty damn close. I like the last roller in the end better than last year's.

I'll probably be out there again tomorrow.

Yeah not sure if you were there on Monday, but I spent most of my time out on the other side of the hill. I'm getting my fix on that boardercross run. Maybe I'll check the park out tomorrow.

Well, they fixed that big kicker in the park. It is now a dual kicker setup with one being about 15-20ft and the other 20-25ft. Very nice and smooth. There are also now two c-boxes in addition to the other jibs and they set up another box going up hill near the lift that looked pretty cool. Overall the park is the best I've seen it in a while. Elsewhere snow is great and nothing new to report.

They shut down the quad this evening due to some problems with the brakes on the lift. I hope that is something temporary and it will be up and running soon.

Took a long break from riding with this weather (not sure why) but finally got back out today. They're blowing snow full force on Superior and all the runs east and south of it. The terrain park is pretty much the same as it was before the weather turned crappy, which is good. Lots of good stuff to hit. It's definitely a go. Snow is great, no ice to speak of.
