kendrat "Sexy Mrs. Tooscoops" Posts : 3100 OFFLINE	Posted on Jan 23, 2009 haha everyone should go on thursday nights!!! thursday nights are where it's at, i mean honestly. everyone knows that! i'll be there sunday too. they've added moguls down challenger... i hate to think what state they'll be in after a thaw and freeze cycle.... some kid already hurt himself on them last night.

dstinky Posts : 20 ONLINE	Posted on Jan 24, 2009 Posted by nine.lives I don't really know many other instructors THAT well (and certainly don't watch them teach), so I can't really answer that.. Considering she is just learning the basics, I think it's safe to say that anyone could help her with that.. we are all CASI certified and know the learning progression. If she wanted to do privates, I'd suggest 4 week program with the same instructor... I think that would be her best bet. Having the same instructor makes things soo much easier.. we know where you're at and what you need to work on from week to week, even gives us some time to come up with tactics tailored to your weaknesses. thanks for the information: we are going to call next week to book her for some lesons. Hopefully night ride because of work.

kendrat "Sexy Mrs. Tooscoops" Posts : 3100 OFFLINE	Posted on Jan 26, 2009 so apparently it came to fisticuffs when we closed the lift last night... i mean honestly... some kid jumped one of the park staff because we'd closed the lift. at 9:30. which is when all the lifts close. what is WRONG with people these days? is it really worth the police escort off the property just because you aren't allowed up the lift? it was pretty chilly last night. but the snow was fast and fun. and the moguls are scary. especially when i see little kid skiers straightlining it down them totally out of control.

Posts : 5067 ONLINE	Posted on Jan 26, 2009 that was my favourite part! but only because i left before seeing the fist fight... that might have topped my fav's list. so yeah.. it was icey. the moguls weren't horrid, just couldn't go through the beginning with speed or you'd lose control pretty easy. park actually looked kinda fun. other than the solid landing that you'd make on this ice...

Posts : 5067 ONLINE	Posted on Feb 06, 2009 hmmm... jj... were you there the day we were talking about a fight going on? i took the lift up with a guy that seems to meet that criteria... think he had a bern helmet... or at least, one with a brim. anytime i'm heading there, i'll be sure to post. hope the conditions were good.

nine.lives Posts : 145 ONLINE	Posted on Feb 13, 2009 I was there on Wednesday night during the insane rain and there was still plenty of snow. Obviously there are some bare sections, but they have been using the reserves to tidy that up... Conditions should be decent, all things considered.

Posts : 5067 ONLINE	Posted on Feb 15, 2009 was out there today... when the sun had softened it up... it was actually quite nice... a gorgeous day for riding at 0 degrees and no clouds... but as the day went on, it got colder and cloudy, made for some ice and tougher conditions. but they've got it all opened back up and the park is still fully functional.

v1ncan1ty Posts : 870 ONLINE	Posted on Feb 23, 2009 I was there on the 21st... was a good day... The park has 2 runs and 4 lines to hit still... The XL jump was mad ice though, wasn't good nor fun... but the L jump was good, all the boxes and kinks were open, and all the lil jibs by the lift ... but they've been switching things around since last time i went in Jan. :) Which is good :D To bad you was too busy on saturday teaching, or else you coulda rode too!!! :D And kendra was there making sure we didn't get hurt. she's a sweet heart, thanks Kendra! :D I'm sure we made your day eazy :D and we'll keep it that way lol!!! :D I'm going up to collingwood either tommorow or wedneday :D I'll be back to GE soon times, it's a fun lil hill :D
