Now now...let's not fan the inter-generational [intra-generational?] flames...if she has fun with her grandparents...that's great. Not enough people get to see their grandparents never mind actually having fun with them. Grandparents were 16 yr old girls posting in all caps once too ya know!

Old people have too much responsibility to be fun and exciting.  Easy to be 21 and care free when you have no cares.  I just turned 30 and have a job, house, cars, investments and a ton of other things on my plate that do a bang up job of making life less fun.  I'm not even married yet so I imagine how all engrossing that will be when the time comes.

In a nutshell...  Its hard to be light on your feet when the world is on your back.

I just turned 32, I have no house payments, just a little rent, with no lease, no car payments, I'm looking after my parents car while they are living and working in another country, and no formal debt. Basically, I don't have the world on my back, because I won't let it get on my back in the first place. Oh, also no kids, I'm careful about that. Sure, I get some every now and then, but there's more to life than.....
So basically, I've got some money in the bank, enough to buy a ticket to Vancouver, from South Africa, early next year to snowboard Mt Washington with my best mate! I'm in this position because I chose to be in this position. Would anyone be interested to hear about the 20 countries I've been to in the last 14 years? Maybe you find some of the stories I have to tell interesting? Anyway.......I have to continue drinking with a good friend who says I am being anti social.......maybe I will add more later.....peace.

just depends on your heredity/personality and your particular life/responsibilities and stuff  - I just turned 44, but have the interests and enthusiasm of about half age.  For instance, I still marvel at watching my fingers shred metal licks on my guitar and am subconsciously holding onto the illusion that I may someday be able to do some of the stuff Terje, Muller, Rice, etc. can do in the BC...  I'm even contemplating going up to my local spot for opening day this weekend, even though all they have open is two runs and it's all man made snow.  I know who's going to be there:  about a hundred teenagers...and me...working on my 3.
