With all the new t-pain and popular music that is kinda like techno. I can see America entering a techno phase along with a computer age.

the simple fact that people consider daft punk & infected mushroom to be "techno" proves that it already entered a techno phase...years ago.  shit, it entered a techno phase before techno was even techno!

here's a couple free mixes by a dj outta NY called Tucci.  it's kinda trancey breaks, or something :)

click the link, and then to the right of "Megaupload" enter the 3 letters into the box & hit download.  The next screen will have two download options...premium & free,  the free one will be counting down.  once it finishes counting down you can click "free download" and it will give you the option to play or save the file.  the file is clean, so no worries.  give thanks for free music!

Tucci- Live @ BB King's 11-14-08

Tucci- Security Deposit

this guy spun at a music festival my friend threw this summer.  he's got a great taste/collection of music & mixes them together smooth.  nothing too hype, but he's a good dj.  i was listening to him this weekend when i went riding & it went really well together.

so enjoy!

funny electro house nowadays isn't what is was back in the 90's and early 2000's. Speaking of the likes of say = joey beltram or woody mcbride. now its like scenester remixes of all the new freshest hip hop with a 2 step/ speed garage type of baseline.

hardstyle is where it's at (too many too suggest)
goa/psytrance goes awesome with drugs ..not that i remember.. (hallucinogen, infected mushroom - classical mushroom album, GMS)
speedcore is really funny but awesome at times (m1dy)

just sayin' but most of what yous listed is not technically techno

WINNER!
Fidget house (what TWOCKER produces) is the hottest shit ever!
Malente plays a mean live set and produces some thick electro, as well.
Dubstep is great as well... not super energetic music, but works great when you want some background music while chilling.

as for the starters and repliers to the topic, techno is a sub-genre of electronic music.  not all electronic is techno.  please get this figured out.

dude joey beltram riiiiiped it up, coachella 06' (i believe). it was 3pm and he was spinning the HARDEST TECHNO!!!! haha that was awesome.

one of my buddies threw a show out here with woody. couldnt go but i hear it was awesome.

another friend brought chris the liberator out. he was supposed to spin at a UG but the venue fell through, due to a death a week before. so chris ended up playing in my friends living room. a house party with chris the liberator. fucking EPIC. lol

Dubstep is great but I cant seem to get into it if I'm out at a show.  It's more of a "sit back and drink some beers to" kinda music for me.  Still love it.  Just not for partying.
Or maybe I'm listening to the wrong kinda dubstep

I totally forgot to post this in my first post responding to TWOCKER...
Crookers know where shit's at in terms of fidget, as well.

When i get home I'm gonna go on a spending spree to get buttloads of fidget to spin.

If we're talking fidget, we also have to big up my boys the Jokers of the Scene - Chris and Linus have been killing it for a minute now at the legendary Disorganized nights in Ottawa as well as all over the world now. They've come a long way from Culture Thursdays (the night I used to play with Chameleonic and Pho who started Disorganised).
I wish I was little bit taller, I wish I was a baller,
I wish I had a girl who looked good, I would call her
I wish I had a rabbit in a hat with a bat and a six-four Impala

Didn't stop them from tearin' the place a new asshole.

im almost positive girltalk isnt techno but his mixes are so tight.
this foreign exchange student at my school listens to so much techno, i went snowboarding with him last weekend and that's all we listened to on the way up. he calls it "house music" i'm not much of a techno person but some of his stuff was actually pretty tight
he had the this time (klass remix) song playin. it is tight.

Yeah, Hardstyle is cool.

Try looking up some DJ Coone or Showtek for some of the more "poppy" hardstylers
