hey - where am I? looks familiar, can't quite tell. OH - it's the SB.com site! Howdy. Don't expect to see too many old farts in here since these are the first posts in yea, around a year! But hope all are doing well. Grad school and work is about all I can handle these days. Riding - got in ONE trip last season and to one of the smallest resorts in the area at that (Santa Fe). Take care!! -Mike

as long as you are enjoying yourself, thats all that matters.  i think i got 25-30 days in.  it wasn't too bad a season for me.  i don't usually get much more than that anyways.

i think i'll be going back to school actually... so i'll probably be in your boat next year... no more free time.  ah well.  nice to see you around anyways!

Check out Pajarito over in Los Alamos if you want small and comfy. A nice relaxed feel for sure.

A bit over two months and no posts.  We are actually well into the 3rd gen after bulletin boards though... with the decline of myspace... facebook still going strong.  Haven't found a use for twitter yet... and less still sadly for these bulletin board sites.

Hi to some I see around - Alecapone, mpd, shedao - saw some of your posts.  Enjoy your summer!

Hi all. Not new to snowboarding but new to the site. Lucky to live in CO--I just wish work didn't get in the way of riding! Still enjoying sweet singletrack while the trees are starting to turn color though. Hopefully this winter is going to rock.

Hi Mike. Nice to hear from you.

I agree with you there except for the usefulness of BB sites.  It's a great place for self promotion!! Just click on my blog and see! Oh wait, this is my blog...

I've made too many connections, both social and business, all through snow related BB's.  Just yesterday, I had a job interview, went to an OEC course, seen half a dozen people that I knew online first,  seen my picture in a magazine,,,, all becasue of connections made in forums.   Oh yeah, and I made some friends in utah a couple years ago. Curious if you would consider that a good use? Worth the price of admission?

This place is dead, but it has more to do with the way it was managed then anything. Ohter forums seem to be doing ok. It seems to me that as the fad wears off, there is just less noise, more signal. Might even get peole to talk about snowboarding on here someday.

Twitter and egocentric blogs on the other hand.....absolutly no use for me.

Anyhow, hope you and your family are doing well.

Hi.

Funny, I was just regretting selling my husky. Perfect riding weather here right now, which is quickly turning to... prefect sliding weather!!

Hey Scott!  Good to hear from you.  Timely - first time I've checked in here in awhile.  (I don't get into too many boring meetings lately.)

Keep in touch - and if anyone wants to hit lower CO or anywhere in NM this year - ping me.  -Mike

Hi Guys:
I don't come on here very much anymore.  But our local resort is about to open and I am really stoked to go and ride.  After cycling all summer I am hoping my legs will be steely this years.
Cheers

I have boarded already this year, anybody else?  @ Whistler last Friday, 6' of snow in spots, about 18" of fresh stuff from overnight snow.  It was fantastic!!  Too bad my skills went away after a year off the board due to injury.  At least I didn't hurt myself this time out, even though I got thoroughly wiped out by some young punk riding too fast and not looking where he was going.  No warning whatsover, just a sudden explosion and I'm on my ass in the snow.  Other than the shock of not knowing what happened, I felt fine.  The punk took a minute or two to get up and went on his way with his buds.

Hope you screamed somethin gat him...like..."get off of my lawn!"

Glad you're ok...especially if you missed last year....cause if it that collision had gone other ways it might be the second year you'd have to take off. And that would be a bummer.

No, but that would have been a good one!  By the time I realized it was totally his fault, he was gone.  Good thing I was wearing a helmet, I noticed a scuff mark on my forehead later, even though the hit was totally from behind.
