Miller Light. If im broke then a couple 40s of Steel Reserve.
Is it true that in the US everyone drinks light beer mostly?
My fav Aussie brews would have to be:
Tooheys Extra Dry
James Boags
Blue Tounge
Crown Larger
Pure Blonde
Coopers Pale Ale
James Squire Amber Ale

No it is not true.... I just happen to like the taste of miller light. Im openminded. if the beer taste good, then show me so I can enjoy it... from what ive been told, german beer is assloads stronger than american beer.
steel reserve is 8.1%

Depends completely on the kind of beer it is, like any other country. A light lager will obviously have a lower alc content than a double bock or a stout. Don't judge US beer on Budweiser, Coors, Miller, etc. We have hundreds of great microbreweries that are on par with imports. See if you can track down any Rogue Ale or Racer 5 IPA.

Yeh i will have to get a few good suggestions of beers i can get around tahoe. All we hear are those major label ones, the few of which ive tried have been a bit average. But i suppose its the same, the only Australian beer most people know is Fosters, which no one at all drinks and you can hardly buy it anywhere because it is a shitty beer.

Jay, you and your Guiness. I don't think you'll ever drink anything else. BUT, try Abita Turbodog -- it's really dark, bitter, and heavy, and I hate it. But since I love hefeweizens, Blue Moon, ambers, etc., we're not really going to agree on the same beer. My favorite beers ever are Allagash White and Abita Amber.

Lakefront Brewery Pumpkin Ale (wisconsin brewery) - very good stuff and not too pumpkin-y.
Normally...
Blue Moon (Black & Blue with guiness/blue moon is pretty tasty too)
Tucher
Rolling Rock
Miller Lite
Corona Light
Spotted Cow (New Glaurus Brewery...wisconsin)
I could list more :)
