humour remains funny when it exists with the constraints of good taste.
certainly parody and satire indulge in the slightly taboo subjects, often of highly visible individuals and events of recent times.
however, your friend rodney was an 'event' of over 10 years ago and it remains an event that stirs up more angst than humour.
if you must seek laughter in this schadenfreuder-esque fashion at least keep it within the same decade. there is plenty of terribly witty things happening these days; civil war in irak, Hussein trial seeing him turn to hunger strikes due to his lawyers continually being murdered, the leader of the free world not being able to string a coherent sentence together, somalia being ran by AQ, droughts in western europe, the president of russia murdering his political opponents......
i am sure you know many gags, about half burnt, half dead arabs, walking 20 miles for a pot of contaminated water in 58C degree desert heat, only for them to get home to the mud hut dwelling to find that their children have been slaughtered by an act of colateral damage, from a force who didn't even know they were alive let alone murdered by their own incompetence! hahahahahahaaaaaaa
you see, whilst you are so eager to assume i am lacking humour, you neglect to consider that quite simply, you fail to be funny. but forget all that Nimby-D; i am sure it IS me and not you. *sarc*
