Garrett's been backpacking for more than 10 years, and I'm a lazy ass, so I didnt really think when we started dating that I would ever go with him. This year I wanted to give it a chance though, and I really enjoyed it. Especially the fire and marshmellows part. So now I've got my own (ADORABLE) pack and we went for a trip last weekend. Pretty damn good time! Except all the mesquito bites. 50 for me and none for Garrett. so unfair.
All this has made me enjoy nature in the summer, when I'm normally not very eager to ever leave the house. I dont like heat. I wonder what other activities are just waiting for me to descover them?

sad but true. Myspace is addicting for me. people from highschool...exboyfriends...their friends...people from college... there are just SO many people I can virtually stalk thanks to myspace. and the worst part? I'm upset becuase my middle school isnt on there...so I cant find people from that school. how heartbreaking. Sure, I've always had this tendency. I would read the livejournal of people connected to people I knew...just hoping for a mention of someone I remembered. but myspace has taken it a step further. Its not just going and googling people's names. (that never found me ANYTHING) now they actually put things up for me to read. current photos. personal details. wow. makes me feel so stalkerish. I wonder if there will be self help groups for this in the future.

I am the proud new owner of a 2004 Ford Escape. My first car. Biggest purchase I've ever made, and Untill may, the most importlant desision i've made.
Having my freedom is great though. I love it. I can drive to the gym, work, anywhere. its so cool.

Wow, when did life get so sucky? Oh yah, now I remember, it happened when Garrett moved up to Seattle and I stuck around for a job I dislike.
So to summerize my life right now: it's crappy. I miss him. and I dont like standing in the rain waiting for the bus. my toes are still cold 6 hours later.

life is...busy...
So I'm living outside of portland in beaverton (wow...from the gettoo to the fancy suburbs. i like it here) and I'm working at a bank.
Hopefully G and I can get our lives together enough to actually have some freedom in what we can do. That's the goal right now.

Whistler was great. boarded friday and saturday, had fun up at Harmony and playing in slush mogels. Drank lots, mostly at Longhorns. there are some pics in my pro. 2 to be exact. and now its REALLY spring. no more boarding. no more snow. time to buck up and finish college.

So! we're off to whistler on Friday morning. REALLY early. cus we're boarding that day. YUM! (yes, I associate snow with good food.)
If you are going to be in whistler for TELUS this weekend leave me a pro comment. If I like you, or I think your cool then maybe we can meet up at the bars. (in a platonically way, I'm not trying to hit on random people in my pro here...unless your my bf) There is a big SB.com party friday night. we will be there. all of us over 19. and ryan if we can get him in.
so yes! Whistler Friday/Saturday. Come home sunday. should be great. I plan on embarressing myself lots by getting much to drunk.

Wow. I just boarded Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Stevens. Really awsome snow every day. so much powder. sooo much powder. My shins where dying yesterday, but they held up quite well today. Looks like I have smacked them into submission. that's always fun.
Other than that not much going on. Hopefully I go boarding next weekend...but it's not the priority. I have to work saturday. :(

Had a great weekend boarding at Stevens. Saturday we had too many people, it got messy. Dillon, 2 Girls on skies, Marta, Zach, Nathan, Ben, just way too many people to keep track of. I don't know why we even tried. The snow was great though, and we had a good time. Yesterday was even better. Nathan, Ben, Marta and some kid, umm. Phil. Marta and I ditched the boys before we got on the lift, they were skiing and we didn't want to wait around for them. We had such a great day. Ended up seeing a girl she knows, Rosie, and hitting a few runs with her. Just such a great weekend. Of course, Sunday night really made the weekend
