revelstoke is an alright town.  it gets a bit boring and dull in the winter time, but it ususally gets alot of snow on the mountains.
 
the back country riding is typically better in revy than in golden because the mountain range between revy and golden is quite massive, and by the time the storm cell is on the leeward side of the mountain (goldens side), it has snowed its heart out and theres more much for precip. left.
thats the case sometimes, not always.  sometimes they have better conditions than we do.
 
from what i hear, theres more going on in golden (more bands come in to play at bars and such), and it's a bit more appealing to younger people in that sense.  i dont know much about it though.
 
revy is pretty chill and quite.  some dodgey people here though, but there's that in every town.
