BRAZIL!! I just got back from an incredible trip to Salvador in Brazil...
How to sum the place up...? It's an extraordinary and contrasting melting pot of wealth and crippling poverty, racial integration and segregation, all set against the tropical backdrop of old Portuguese colonial architecture, totally awash with colour and sounds... After spending christmas in the snow almost every year of my life, I found it pretty weird to be wearing shorts on a beach drinking caperinias on christmas day...damn good fun though...

I just put a load more photos up here:http://www.flickr.com/photos/lsp9/show/

Event: Bands on two stages over 3 days, and much other strangeness Location: Big Fields of mud around a massive lake.... Reason: Aquired a free access all areas pass in return for shooting a few bands. Result: Much randomness, music, bouncing around, soggy socks, muddy jeans, tents, losing people, finding people, more booze, funny people, good times... Few photos in gallery section

Midsummer...34 degrees in London...there is very little snow where I happen to be on this earth these days... Instead flipped tack to shoot some bikes for a bit...
They dont get much air, but going down a straight at 160mph on what is essentially a rocket on wheels does look quite fun. They also need to get their knee down on corners to get steez from their old biker boys and also because, if they go too fast and dont lean in the corners. they tend to not make it round and crash spectacularly instead. Unsurprisingly this happens quite often... No crash photos though, I usually just stood and gawped as bits of bike and riders got hurled into the gravel traps at high speed...
Got a good tan, but not too much room for creativity... What u think?

Just got back from the Pyrenees where the weather was warm, it was well into spring and the snow was super slushy...

I finally got reliable internet access so put up some photos from the
last month in Europe in my gallery.
I'll put up some riding shots next week in the new riding gallery....
Been shooting in Austria for the last few weeks. I was really
lucky with the weather as I arrived just as a storm was ending, and got
loads of sun.....
ART-Austrian stylee.....(its a doctors in austrian ARZT)
We went to lots of little resorts near Mayrhofen and looked for
backcountry lines. It is so different to Whistler cos no one seems
to go there....
One time, after hiking for half an hour, we found some epic freeriding areas and
some chutes to hit on the backside of a valley. Afterwards we rode out for
ages, bouncing down through some farmers fields to
the road...
This building was right next to the bus stop at the bottom....
It was without doubt the best day of shooting and riding I have had in a long time......
