they always tell you
"stay away from drugs, their bad"
"drug free is the way to be!"
but i guess nobody took the time to tell Brandon that,
or maybe he just wasnt listening
they said he was still a baby in the real world,
just turned twenty
"good lookin kid" they said,
till they saw his ghostly pale body laying in the dirt
three shots in the chest
dead by the first
i guess the kid who shot him didnt learn about drugs either.
they were there for the same reason....
except now ones laying in the casket
while the other sulks in jail
i guess hes better off there
now in peace with god.
Brandon was a sweet kid
or so ive heard
but his mother screwed him up so bad
now hes been murdered
i never got to meet him
i guess i never will
and i'll never get to ask him why
they other kid didnt listen when everyone told him to stay away from drugs
"you might hurt somebody" they said
they were right
cuz that kid killed my cousin
just to get high.
