So we returned from Europe on Dec 10th and can I say that we came home to the land of pow pow. I spent a week at Big White before Xmas and had some of the best free ride days I have had there ever. The snow just kept coming and we had a hand full of blue bird days with a fresh 15-25 cm. The Easster Shoots became a favourite spot and a nice kicker in the Easter Gully was well sessioned.
After Xmas in Ontario is was back to Big White for New Years and then off to Whistler for a BC Training camp. Whistler has been getting dumped on and it was excellent for training. We spent a couple of days doing what we do best, ripping the powder with our coach and working on technical riding. Then we moved into the park and worked on our starts. We had a bio-mechanist come up and do some video work to break down our movements and teach us some new techniques. After getting over a 48 hour flew bug my energy levels were a little low, but the training was still fun and effective. To finish off my trip, by buddy Schwarty took me up to Powder Mountain for a day of Cat Boarding and a small photo session. You can check out some pics in my Snowboard Gallery.
