it is funny: one of the guys that i'm going with wants to go to swiss alps because of his semi-german background and to visit geneva. the other one wants to go to zermatt cause you can see the matterhorn from there. very stupid reasons and i dont know why i am put up with them. i've been to austria two years ago and know st. anton am arlsberg from first hand experience and it was a very good one. i meet with my friends this weekend and maybe i will convince them to go france or austria. hey you know what, yesterday it snowed here quite heavily, some areas like buffalo got up to 60 cm! and they predict more to come. just too bad we don't have mountains to speak of... but it's gonna warm up again i know it... i dont expect my local resort to open till mid dec thats when they always open. if i were not so lazy i'd move west but oh well, the netherlands are even worse for snow and mountains but you're not complaining ;)<

hey, nice to hear from you stranger! anyway, i did not make it to france yet, in march i was in whistler. but me and a couple of my buddies are planning a european ski trip for the upcoming season and i hope it will include val d'isere. my friends have this weird obsession with zermatt though, so i guess that's where will be going for sure, however i also want to go to france, as long as i can get the extra time off. where i work right now the chances are slim, but i may be changing job soon and then i hope i can negotiate a longer vacaion. so is there any snow in the alps yet? for obvious reasons i hope they really good season this year!!
