Team Rider BRad Martin sent me this photo of himself on the podium with
a Silver Medal around his neck at the recent world cup event held at
Stoneham. Yeah Brad!
New
IS team rider Janelle Pritchard (No relation to "Dean Pritchard" from
the movie Oldschool) got some podium action of her own up at Whistler
this weekend receiving Bronze at the Showdown. Good work Janelle! Don't
blow all that loot on some fancy radio.

Call with Kale:
Kale gave me a call Sunday afternoon to share his excitement about
trying out the new fishburger at Wendy's. He was like "they're using
the good fish now, some delicious Alaska code or something". Then he
let me go so he could place his order. I decided to call him back Today
to see if the fishburgers lived up to the hype. Kale ensured me that
they did and stated the new fish burgers at Wendy's actually tasted
like some delicious type of fish burger you'd find at a high end fish
and chips spot. I felt good about the conversation and let him go.

Dev's
fresh back from a little trip to California where he did a interview
for Fuel TV as well as an infomercial for DC. Now I have him doing a
Pro Tips for SBC. Busy man. I'll hit ya with links once they're
available for viewing.
The
Updown site is up and full of fun content to explore. Look for a copy of the latest issue of Updown at a store near you.
Oh
and we have a PartySnake premiere tonight in Kelowna. Its an Island
Snow / Jager / PartySnake deal but I can't seem to be able to find the
flyer for it with all the info. It shouldn't be that hard to figure
out, there can't be anything better going on in Ktown on Thursday night.

Another Catalog shoot / Another Slide Show

Airhole Visit / T.I. Interview / Dave Harris
The Airhole crew came by for a little visit yesterday. I'm pretty sure Kale's from another planet.
Here's a taste of the visit.
Dave
Harris is the funniest person in the world. The stuff I've heard come
out of his mouth over the years is beyond ridiculous. I've been wanting
to catch him in the act forever now but he isn't easy to film.
Last Sunday I had a major breakthrough.

Chucky's tattoo
After
a short little visit by Chucky and his good buddy Dustin Craven
yesterday I learned they picked up some pretty epic impulse tatty's
last May.
Under
the image of the hand throwing up the peace sign it's written "best
summer ever" some how predicting the summer they both eventually
experienced. Keep an eye out for the next issue of Updown Magazine for
more heart warming stories about friendship in Dustin's "Greasy" little
interview by yours truly.

So
Perry calls us up last minute late Wednesday afternoon because Ben's
out of town and he wants someone from the office to head over to
Boardroom around six that night to do the IS Eyewear PK for him.
Steve's out of town, I have plans so Jr.Burger agrees to help out. I
help JB "short for Jr.Burger" get stuff ready then leave the office for
the day. The next morning I ask JB how it went. So he gives me the run
down then starts telling me about Perry's cute little introduction
where he kisses JB's ass for saving his day and shi*t talks me &
Steve. "JB's a super hard worker... Blah blah blah... I love him so
much... Blah blah blah... he's the only person in the who office that
actually works... Blah blah blah... Once Scientists figure it out I
want to have his Child... Blah blah blah... I can't believe Karl gets
paid a salary to do a blog and I don't even know what Steve does over
there?" Real nice Perry. Didn't you just get back from a 3 week holiday
where you and your buddy Thelma and Louised it across Canada... You
poor thing, Couves must really be working you to the bone.. Haha
The
IS Video Player
is slowly filling up with content. Its pretty cool, you can download
video directly to desktops or to mobile devices. I've set up a bunch of
channels with more to come. So far we have PartySnake, Airhole, Kale,
Dev, Duff, Daves Updates, Lil Bastards, 15Peddler and Archive channels
where we'll be constantly uploading footage. We'll be setting up a

Duff's Bday Party at the Molson Brewery! Rep of the Month.
Duff
celebrated his 19th Birthday at the Molson brewery this weekend. Here's
some of the action I captured in between the many free pints of frosty
cold Coors Light.
What
a great time. Free beer, pizza and front row seats to the Duff and
friends flex off. Martins called it about 20 minutes before it happened.
Even Tom Lee from POP printing made an appearance. Above he closely inspects the print quality of Duff's head.
Rep of the month for October goes to Benny Couves for his feat of
extreme office boydom with a pickled ollie at the Tofino park.
Yeah Couves! You win the left over Coors Light from our Monster Sale located in the mini fridge at Trustus.
Last day of the Monster Sale / Italian Spider man.

Last week I did a "Help a blogger out" post where we directed traffic to the
VancouverSlop blog to see if we could help Matt generate some cash for his blog. Here's the email he sent regarding the results:

per my google analytics 36 people visited my site from yours. Ads were
clicked 32 times. There is no way to know for sure if all the clicks
were from the furious blog but I feel very comfortable saying that the
32 ad clicks were mostly because of you. This resulted in $12.82 cents
for me. Looks like I owe you a beer."
Well looks like you guys
helped two bloggers out, thanks! Actually three bloggers, the "help a
blogger out" post has also inspired JuniorBurger to add ads to his
blog. I'll keep updated on his progress.
JB has promised to spend every cent he makes from his blog on beer and chicken wings so
help a brother out!

and last but not least this is my 200th post since I've been using
blogger. No biggie! I probably have triple that under my blog belt,
considering I've been doing the furious blog since Dec. 14th 2004.
My
first blog ever was on the DVS site while I was the snow team manager
over there and probably dates back to 2002-03. Wow, that seems like
forever ago. Anyway you can check out some pre blogger classics in the
furious blog archives. Lots of Zeddy, lots of Kale and lots of bad

Classic Photo! Last Zeddy Video! JuniorBurger!
Kenta
was digging around my desk for some scissors this morning and stumbled
upon this old photo of Kale and Jake that I'm debating on using for an
ad.
Kale
looks like a drunk biker who's about to crush Jake's scull. The photo
was taken at some halloween party during the late 90's on a crappy
disposable camera before the digital era, blogs and online communities.
shi*t those dudes are old.
Well Zeddy's now in London for school and won't be back to visit till April.
Here's a little video
of us getting him all fired up for a date a couple weeks before his
departure. Zeddy we miss you and can't wait for some stories.

vancouverslop .
The blog focuses on Matt's food experiences around the city and his
dislike for scenesters. He's currently working on finding the best
burger in the city. According to Kenta, Matt recently received a check

here at the office and a couple pages in one of the models start

So
if you read this thing at all you know we have our flow team working
hard on their very own video project this season called "Party Snake"
of which they pretty much have free rein to do whatever. The only thing
I've stressed is to have our updated logo and website on the teaser. At
least they pulled through on the logo. Hopefully for the video they can
figure out the correct web address.

you can see this isn't going to be a pretty little art snowboard flick.
I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little worried. We're also gathering footage
from the rest of the IS Eyewear allstars (Dev, Wille, Tadashi, Kale,
Duff, Andrew Fuller...) for the Party Snake video which will most
likely be its own section. Here's the type of footage you can expect
from them..
The
video will available online but we'll most likely be doing a small run
of DVD's with tons of video extras which will be available for free at
premieres, through friends of friends and online. Kale is working on
his own Airhole video this year as well which we're working on
including within the party snake DVD. Its gonna be out there so be
ready!
