so there was this time that i had these amazing friends that made me laugh and smile soooo much even though they were thousands of miles (or km if you are canadian...weirdo canadians) away. it was fantastical and i think that maybe i will never forget it. i don't think they'll ever really know what it meant to me, but to post it somewhere other than in my head makes it real and somehow concretes it.
how wonderful is it to be alive and have people think about you randomly and make you smile? every day should be like this and everyone in the whole world should be so lucky.

what's with people? why do i have to explain things a million times before they finally understand what i'm saying? asking me the question in different ways is not going to change the answer!
i am really not feeling like being here tonight.
AAAAND THIS AMERICAN DUDE KEEPS COMING UP TO THE FRONT DESK YELLING AND PRETENDING HE IS BORAT....he doesn't listen to a word i say...just bangs on the bell and yells 'CANADA IS NIIIIIICE' and shouts over other guests.
i think he has problems.

haha craziness goin down at the hotel. things getting flipped upside down, then rightside up and back over to some orientation i didn't know existed. weird how things can change so fast. makes you really think about life in a whole new light...even if you've thought about it like that before. it still hits you every now and then.
life is flying by and is not slowing down for you or anybody.
plus i got free pizza.
randomness.
keeps life interesting even when you think it's hit monotony's most monotonous moment.

ashley and i are having the most rediculous night at work ever.

i waxed my board today...and you know what that means!!!!
i'm drinking what i assume to be green tea out of a wrapper that i cannot read.
i don't know if that makes it more authentic or scary.....
separated shoulders suck.
buuuut, i can FINALLY move my shoulder in a full circle again!!!
that's pretty exciting for me. :)
yeah i think it's time for a change. i need to be outside. smell some fresh air and get some rosy cheeks. :)

it's -23 and the first thing we thought of when we all woke up this morning (bexx, jon and i) was that we should go riding. so riding we went. and it was damn cold. but we're so hardcore so it didn't matter to us. bexx was rippin so hard that her binding broke clean off...it was a present to the snow gods on blackcomb. jon was going so damn fast his nose turned white like michael jackson and then he did a grab. i had hand warmers, so there was no worries on the cold front. take that vanilla ice!!! we explored blackcomb to the fullest and when we were all shredded out, we came home to hot chocolate and tofu. so if ever you look out your window and see the snow blowing unwelcomingly and check the cams and the weather and see that it would just be stupid to go out....please stay in so that the hardcores of the world can enjoy empty runs and no lift lines.

OH MY GOD!!! i dont know what to say about today, except that it was friggin amazing!!! i'm shi*t in powder and i spent more time digging myself out and doing cartwheels than actually floating...but it was super worth it. having never ridden real powder before, it was like learning to board all over again...spent so much time on my ass and on my face and my arms got an awesome workout from pushing myself up so many times...but it was the most awesome day of boarding and i can't wait to do it again!!! this mountain is kicking my ass right now and that only means that i have so much to learn and so much better to get, that i'm excited for everything to come :)

kinda like shredder from ninja turtles, but with more snow and less metal...well a bit of metal, but more snow. and no turtles. but maybe some bears somewhere...
so up we went and down we came.
sunday was rainy and awesome fun. beer drinkin, slush riding and an all round good time was had by me...i dunno about everyone else, but i didn't even notice the rain or the 100km+ winds...though they blew over bexx. hahaha
today was super duper fun, cause it wasn't wet out, and snowing like noone's business!! we couldn't see where we were going, but just pointed our boards down the hill and down we went..."i can't even see how friggin fast i'm going!!! where's the grinding!?!?!?" were just a couple of the things that flew out of my mouth as i rode down the mountain. bexx took up her camera, on my suggestion and now hates me. i need a lock on my door so i can sleep at night now....hahaha
the last couple days i've shredded some of the best snow of my life, and apparently it's not even good right now. that's what they keep telling me....
tomorrow apparently we have a huuuge crew going up...it's rob's bday too! should be mad fun! if you're around, maybe see you on the slopes yo!!!

that was the worst night of sleep i can ever remember having. and the worst part is that the whole night i was convinced that i was just about to fall asleep. boring!!! it better not be busy at work today. oh shi*t, i think i just jinxed it. ah help! at least the mountain opens today. i dont get a piece of that action till tomorrow. sooooo.....till tomorrow.....

bexx and i laughed so hard tonight we both thought we were going to die. we cried and gasped for air. it was the funniest thing ever. we did almost die. it was amazing. thanks bexx for almost dying with me. we live to laugh another day. :)
