Just the other day we had some nice long hikes with heavy gear. Myrosha and I finally had the chance to laugh, jump, hike and chill all in one day; so I'm a happy camper. Also along for the haul was Paul Welters and Barry Hartman. Somehow, along our mini journey, we ended up on a North Face in overcast. Then the sun popped it's beautiful looking head over right after we finished setting up 2 features. We did our thing in the shade and high tailed it outta there into a sick bluebird day. We ripped on up to another spot and started building as fast as we could in hopes to have a jump ready for sunset. Well, all went well, and shi*t got built. Never have I had such fun times in such a hurry.Perfect way to wrap up the year.

Sometimes my mind plays tricks on me. I think to myself, should I have just spent my money on a truck and sled? Do I really need to wait until next year to get a summit 800? How much shi*t am I going to miss this year because I'm away living in Victoria hitting books instead of pow? The answer is simple. I'm in it for the long haul, I have the rest of my life to look forward to, and I am extremely glad I'm taking this route instead of the quick way in. I'm very young (for a snowboard photographer) and super stoked that I'll be able to pursue my passion with a clear mindset and with the tools available to do so. I may have to put myself in a very large debt, but name a snowboarder out there who hasn't? It's part of the industry dude. So, thanks to Atomic Snowboards, I will be able to continue my pursuit to a lifetime goal this year, but I will be the low key weekend shooter. But just you wait until next year, all you'll be hearing out of me is BRAAAAAAAP BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAPP BRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAPPP...

Yesterday was the beginning of my "winter break". Everyone around is starting to flock on home to their friends and families for the grand christmas cheer. I am no exception to the rule, though I'm not here for the christmas cheer, I'm here for the shred. Everyone around knows that this weekend is the best weekend in Whistler history. This is the time where everyone (including underaged girls sneaking out of their parents condos) rip on over to the bars for the super madness. Saturday is going to be among the most epic days ever. T-Minus 2 hours until I'm strapping in and rippin down peak. Can't wait.

Sleep... An indulgence that I have had to forgo this past weekend in Vancouver. And though I was deprived of this indulgence, I was more stoked than ever to go out with a crew that was willing and motivated enough to get shi*t done. It was definitely a treat shooting with snowboarding's most loving crew, Gnarcore. Thanks boys. But why the 4am blog? Well, I woke up about an hour ago to start on some school work and found out that my studio time got bumped to a little later, so this is just a time waster really.
And to add to the stoke factor, I get to shoot with one of my favourite dudebra-brodus-braskis this weekend at Mt. Washingtong, Myrosha. DUDE!!! TIME TO KILL IT!!!
