it snowed in ottawa this week, a good couple cm and we set up the back yard jib, and it all worked out sick, was a lot of fun, tremblant opened and i hope to get there this weekend since they have a 20 foot jump and other boxes set up, so it would be nice to go and ride a hill
i miss winter, i want to find a truck to put snow in it to go jib some handrails.

holla, im sitting here wanting to go home so bad to ride with my boys and just had to write something because im so bored. I miss riding and did not get out as much as i wanted to this year. I rode hard and took every chance as a good opportunity to ride and just have fun. At Searchmont resort they will be taking all available snow to go and snowboard in the terriain park to have that last as long as possible. May 5th and 7th is the projected time to get it done. Im jacked as i will have that one last opportunity to ride with my crew and keep it going for some last minute filming and season ending rituals. My boy mike trudeau and joe seeber are videoing and editing sick videos that give you great vibes to go and ride and im jacked for htem as they all are progressing and having a blast. SO just had to type something cuz im bored so ya, holla at me and keep me and real, was a decent season but not a lotof riding because the hill is so far away and no transportation,. I hope to ride some more and get more footage, and to my boys, keep riding hard and film a lot, it makes me sad to see you guys riding but also happy to know my boys are killing it and keepin it real. well im sitting here studying for my midterms and i have one week left, well techinically 5 days 20 hours and 40 minutes until i am home from school for my reading week where i will get the lovely opportunity to ride with my crew and actually snowboard with people instead of alone and my ipod. i have been enjoying school and going to tremblant at least once every weekend and if im lucky i get to ride a little local hill during the week at night. all i have to say is that im really excitied to be home and go do some handrailing and get some filming done which will make me quite happy and enjoy the pleasure of my friends. the only down fall is that im only there for a week and i have 3 midterms this week which is stopping me from goin home earlier. boys i cant wait to ride and party so far this year i only had the pleasure of riding in one contest which held 75 riders in my category and i took first place in the rail jam. downfall with that is that i won a tremblant membership but i had already purchased one and used it months before and cannot claim it for next year and having a hard time selling it for a cheap price. im selling it for 100 bucks which i find really lame because ya, its worth 1000 for people my age but it is late in the season but i thought 250 was a good deal. won a bunch of other stuff and happy with really winning and that it was a good time and fun by all. in the past 2 weeks we went to a hill edelweiss and so far ive gone there, the people i have been riding with have got hurt and went to the hospital with major / medium injuries. 2 people out of 2 times, i guess im just getting lucky. after the powder party we had there i got drunk and then there was a naked race for a day pass at tremblant, but i went in it to win it for a friend so i dont have to ride alone, we are students and poor and that is what is holding them back from going really. this all kind of random information and just keeping everyone posted on my life and how it is going but ya, im bored and trying to avoid studying but will begin shortly so ya, whateever, cant avoid it forever. i did lose my cell phone at tremblant because i was so drunk and falling over and must of fell out of my pocket, but who cares, i bought a new 1 off ebay so 150 so im happy i got a deal at least. im really pissed up at cell phone companies b/c im on a plan and it should only be 1 year for me to upgrade my phone instead of freakin 2, thats stupid, shi*t happens within a year and they should offer some kind of insurance or w.e. if you lose your dam phone or lower the dam prices, like GOD! but ya, im kind of tired of typing, but leave a msg and ill post another blog later to get people to knwo how my wonderful week at home went. Hey Hey Hey! Snow is getting here or has been for some people but some of us are just getting the pleasure of this wonderful "White Stuff"! Went and hit up Tremblant opening weekend and realized dam boy, this is expensive so i have to buy a tremblant membership that save me a bundle! SO i did and now just waiting for my next time to get out and ride! Exams are here which is terrible and im studying and studying and studying and its lame because really i just want to go home and chill with my friends at home and relax and dont worry about anything but riding. I miss my crazy party animal friends! Been organizing a jibfest up in my hometown so when i get back we can go tear up some handrails and enjoy the last little wait until the home town hill opens up fully so i can ride for 6 days and then travel to Boyne, Michigan for New Years with Mike Trudeau and rock out there! Just getting really focused on my riding and stepping up and holding nothing back, but at the same time, keep my wacky fun into it as well. All about fun and if i take out the fun then i take out the reason i ride. My friends have all been out jibbing on little homemade rails and having a blast and i feel so out of it as i cant go and do all the fun stuff they are because i dont know anyone who really hits up the park and streets like i do in Uni up in Ottawa yet. Soon i will find some people and enjoy the times or just go bymyself on campus and hit that up. My good friend i met in the winter, Maia is now in BC riding as she decided not to go back to searchmont to ride as BC is way better and to progress her career in the sport. She is awesome and totally killing it as she rides all year and follows the snow to New Zealand and Canada! I miss her a bunch and cant wait to ride with her again and kill it! Hey all, the leaves are falling, the sweaters and jackets are beginnin to come out and all that means the colder it gets the snow is on its way. I cannot wait for my 2006/2007 season as i have goals planned out and gunna make it a great time. Recently i have just moved to Ottawa, Ontario to get an Edu-ma-cation! Also chose the area as some hills are close by and programs at the school for me to join for riding! Missin my boys up at home who i would skate with and ride with and havent really met that many people who ride, well i have actually and they all stoked to ride but not as stoked as my friends and i would b right now! My friends made the paper for having a summer set up jib at a small hill and a 10 foot rail which is fun to get your snowboard jitters satisfied somewhat and dust off the old skills and be ready for the season. Cant wait to ride boys this Thanksgiving, goin to b jacked and pushin myself hard! My friend up in New Zealand, Maia is killing it up there and 1 lucky girl who gets to ride all year round because she travels to canada to visit family and pretty much follow the snow and i cant wait to see her again and ride with her and see how much she progressed! One of these soon years i gotta get up there Maia and kill it with you all year round! Hope your having fun and killing it and representin hard! Well im on here just gunna update the world on how i am. Im lovin the University experience as its so much freedom, do what i want, chill when i want, live how i want and allowin me to grow up and learn the skills of living that i will use forever! Met some cool cool people who i will be gettin a house with most likely next year and have a good time. School is sinkin in with me and takin up my time and im workin out now to GET BIG, BUFF AND TUFF haha kidding but to stay in shape and make my body stronger and ready for my bails. Miss my friends back home who i wish could be here with me and experiencing this new life of mine and meetin all the people i know! Mainly i just want to snowboard really bad and aaaaaaaaa it hurts me that i still gotta wait when i dont want to at all, i just wanna ride and get it over with, from the people i met this year so far they all want to go jibbin and ride and i will learn a lot most likely from them and develop my riding, im goin to push myself finally and giver and see where snowboarding will take me and also mainly have fun and just ride but get er done at the same time. I have a few good goals for me set up and others to help push me and get me back out there riding hard. I made a sponser tape as well last year but when it came down to sendin it away, i just realized that it wasnt showing what i could do at all! It was just me doing the safe tricks i always do cuz i can do them first try and didnt show how i was or even what my main potential is so i held it back, if you wanna view it go www.youtube.com/gmonay18 and that will there. well, snow is gone for awhile now and the heat is picking up and grass and trees are going green and all it means is summer. i got a summer job nice and early this time and working in a garden center and i really love it, its super fun, i reccommend that kind of job to anyone who likes the outdoors and more labour work and just being around customers to help them out. Well beside workings all i would usually do in the summer is skteboard everyday and blah blahy blah it ran my show. This year i have decided that i do not need it as much and its not really that fun because i get too intense into and no matter wut i cnat help it, WEIRD and i so far have no interest in it. With my time now, i try to work as much as possible because i'm goin to UNIVERISTY in ottawa and need cash fast. So in my free time i play a lot tennis, basketball, swimming, when it gets warmer the beach and tanning, goin to start working out, drinking and partying every night no matter what and enjoying life. My buddy is teaching me to ride a dirtbike for my future years so i can buy one and just fool around and enjoy life one day. March 16, 2006, 3:39pm, sunny day, no cloud in the sky (aka bluebird), 1 year aniversary for me dislocating my shoulder today and it not poppin out for 1 year! Well the season is ending unfortunately and i have 1 more contest to enter this Saturday and so far i've won 2 rail contests, second in slopestyle, 4th in big air <injured n pulled out of :(>, 3rd in rail contest and 1 more contest to enter. been a great year, fun, enjoyable, met some new friends and made a best friend, Seebers thats u, some laughs, some scares but hey it was a great season. Thinking of getting a trip this summer to New Zealand to ride with a friend i made this year. She is the coolest ever and going to be the next best pro girl rider. I've been unsuccessful on my goggle tan, pretty upset by that but its a little one, i wnat a hardcore one. Sponership quest has begun and i've filmed a lot this year and have 6 minutes of video and still holding some good tricks back and yet need to get those tricks i've wante4d all year. go to

Well today i was a motd, which has inspired me to write a new blog about me. Life is goin good and riding is great. My hill has finally fixed all the lifts and made enough snow to get the runs open and my park should be built by Jan 28th. I'm all excitied for that. I was bummed out yesterday because i had no money and no ride to forum youngbloodz contest in Nubs Nob Michigan and i really wanted to enter. I'm just happy now cuz we got a huge dumping of snow and riding the pow in the bush was amazing and fun. I cant wait for this season to get under way with the park as i wnat to push my self hard. I have trips planned for Tremblant and Nubs Nob in the coming weeks and months to just chill with my friends and enjoy life. A rail contest this sunday the 29th and i'm excitied for that, because i've doing handrails and have my stuff down and hopefully pus me harder to learn harder and better technical tricks. Well i'm just stoked now because i'm motd and just want everyone to have a great day and great season that is safe and enjoyable. well, started off with some good jibs at a 17 set handrail and then ride my hill a bit to get my switch better and just cruz cuz my park wont open till at least end of january cuz it sucks! well my buddy then offerred me a ride to boyne mountain in michigan, about 2 hours away so i went for 3 days. when i was there they just got some park stuff up and going so i was gettin my stuff back and havin fun. my rails were coming to me so fast that i was doing tricks that i wouln'dt dare try last year. my switch tricks were like butter and it was going good. the jumps were not bad but not great due to grooming of them and bumping landings and poor kick. i managed to get some 5s and got some steeze on my fs 540 rodeos and just enjoyed it and tryin to get steeze back. found out there was a contest and free and you can win some money and a board tune up kit for best trick and it was on rails and i was like sick, i'll enter its free and money would b good! so i entered and was doing bad in the warm ups and everyone was lookin dam good so i was like i dont stand a chance, these guys been riding for 1 month + and this is my second weekend. contest came around and i tossed down a sick line (noseslide on flat down flat, gap fs270 to down on A frame, and then 50 to bs 180 out on roller coaster rail) the guy told me to take a break n i was the first guys in the finals so i took some runs to keep warm and maintain everything but nothign hard until the finals. in the finals they took the person with the best line out of 2 and i was second to go and i did noseslide again to gap to board on teh a frame and then 50 up to fs 180 to switch 50 to switch bs 180 off the rollercoater rail and everthing perfect with steeze, it was my winning line i think. my second line was tailslide to switch n then switch gap to board and then switch 50 fs 180 out roller coaster. i ended up coming first and taking best trick at this american contest and was jacked. but then i go home to no park and nothing at all n just ride and end up catchin a death cookie(ball of snow from teh groomer) covered in pow and twisted my knee and messed it up! so i'm chillin for a bit until my knee is good and then go back out and help set up my park since i'm terrain park dude buidling n designing it. hopefully my knee gets better
