Congratulations Mikkel on winning the Burton Glory Daze of
Summer competition last month. Sixteen of Norway's finest board riders gathered for the
first ever surf/skate/snow contest in northern Europe. Mikkel’s strongest
points were gained in the surfing and snowboarding legs to secure him first
place over the 3 day competition. Young Mikkel managed to beat Thomas Harstad (2nd) and Mads Jonsson (3rd)....what a way to spend your summer holidays. See the full press release and photo on www.freestylemax.com under "what's hot" Mikkel is now on his way to New Zealand for most of August
but will finish up in Australia competing in Falls Creek (going head to head with fellow FreestyleMax team rider Anthony Leffelaar) and finishing in
Sydney with the official launch of FreestyleMax. Come and meet Mikkel and Anthony in person at Balmoral Boards, Mosman, Sydney on 31

Australia's peak
snowboard instructor body, Australian Professional Snowsport Instructors
association (APSI) has officially endorsed Australia's very own FreestyleMax.
This reinforces the fact that visualisation techniques and the use of a well
constructed figurine can serve a valuable purpose in snowboard instructing.
APSI's Vice President and Snowboard Technical Director, Jason Clauscen had this to say from Thredbo-"FreestyleMax helps build group rapport and
helps break down snowboard movements and tricks. I would recommend
FreestyleMax to anyone". APSI's top 30 trainers and instructors spread
across Thredbo, Perisher, Hotham, Falls Creek and Buller are now using
FreestyleMax this season down under. International customers can now purchase
FreestyleMax online at www.freestylemax.com.

And the clue is this action figure has over 30 points of articulation (ie hinges and moving parts). Hey if you think running a competition to win a freestylemax snowboard instructor would be interesting for snowboard.com members, drop us a line. I'll see what I can do with this website.
Following his win at the Hemsedal Spring Sessions Mikkel was determined to push the limits even further. Recently at a private photo shoot in Norway Mikkel went big with a stylish backside 7 off a kicker with a 110ft gap! Mikkel stomped the landing approximately 180 ft from the kicker, a personal best for him. This is what Mikkel had to say….
“Well I wasn't planning on jumping at all. But I did. It was fun for sure!!”
Good onya mate. Looking forward to seeing you Down Under this season.
Members of FreestyleMax can keep up to date on Mikkel's snowboarding and pics at www.freestylemax.com
