haha here's why i love being part time...
i get three weeks worth of vacation, and i'm using them as follows:
one week in april (telus). then i'm giong to switch a couple shifts, and i will be in BC from april 8 to april 26.
one week in june (honeymoon). then i'm going to switch a coupld shifts, and i can have june 2 to june 19 off.
one week in august (back to BC for family time). switch a couple shifts and i should have another three weeks, or thereabouts.

well, don't forget you already had a week off for florida...
this will probably be the last year i get to take off this much.. by the end of it all, i'll have taken almost two months off... but at least that means i'll get to make some money.

Anyone else make it up over the Easter weekend?
A friend of mine pleaded with me to go on Friday and I'm really glad I did.... they hadn't been open since the 30cm dumping they got so there was plenty of natural snow, and the moguls.. oh the moguls! They hadn't been groomed and it was awesome!!! Towards the end of the day the fluffy stuff had been scraped off in parts, but it was also getting warmer/softer so it was a ton of fun..
That's it for me this year though... I'm pretty sad :(

I'm hoping they open tomorrow.. I know MSLM has its grand opening on the 11th for the 09-10 season, so I'm hoping Blue Mountain will be the same.. Man, figuring out road travel plans from Toronto to Blue and back is EXHAUSTING!! I should definitely get a portable GPS NAV on my person.. Much easier then writing directions down.. Or studying the map, at least...
Anyone driving up to Blue tomorrow (if its opening, of course)?? If so, I'll put in for gas and a pint at the village! :D :D!!
EDIT** ~ Looks like Blue is opening up tomorrow! I can't even imagine how busy that place is gonna be, haha. Who's down??

I'll be at Blue Mountain this Saturday for the day. Getting back into the basics to start off the season. I've been boarding since 03, and I'm taking the CASI level 1 in 2 weeks. If anyone wants to link up at blue for hi-5's and fun, post at my profile.

it was getting pretty icy by last night, but there were some sweet spots. nice to know i haven't forgotten how to ride! but it's pretty pathetic that our first day out is DECEMBER 17... lame!!
also impressed they were staying open for night riding last night... with two lifts open...
