arg this is what they told me.. Hello We appreciate your enthusiasm to be on the hill at Blue Mountain Resort as early as possible. Since our operation is weather dependent, we cannot give you an exact opening date. We can make our own snow as long as the temperature falls below -5°C. We *hope* to be open by the 8th. If we have three days of temperatures below -5°C we can cover all trails with a foot of snow, so even if we do not receive any natural snow, we may be able to open if the temperatures have been low enough. When we are sure of an opening date, it will be posted on our website www.bluemountain.ca We look forward to seeing you on the hill. Yours truly, Judi Hills Blue Mountain Resorts Limited Leisure and Travel Representative

I would, but I don't go to blue. I'm only 1 1/2 hrs away from holiday valley, so that place gets my vote :)

I got a 5*7 pass this year too.. never been to blue before, but now that i'm closer and will have an entire week in March to take advantage of it i'm there!! not sure when exactly i'll be down there... going to ride a couple other places too this year.. i'm just going to randomly jump in my car and ride where the snow is best!!! i'm looking forward to actually having people to ride with tho.. or at least to meet up for a drink after the slopes shut down for the night!

From the Bluemountain site.... Blue Mountain is excited to announce that Thursday, December 8th, 2005 will mark the tentative opening day of Blue Mountain’s 65th season! When the lifts start moving on December 8th at 9:00 am skiers and snowboarders will have until 4:30 pm to enjoy Blue in white. From season opening until December 14th, day visitors can take advantage of specially priced early season day ticket for $33 + GST! The night skiing season is scheduled to begin one week later on Thursday, December 15th and will give visitors to Blue Mountain the opportunity to ride under the lights until 10:00 pm

I got my 5x7 pass. I'll be there most Saturday evenings, which is almost the only convenient time to go, except for a couple of weekday evenings between Christmas and New Year's. Would be nice to hook up with other boarders to go ride, drink, and share car trips with (I've got the car, big sucker too). Anyone want to start a Saturday afternoon/evening group?

the only thing that I don't like about Blue (compared to anything else in Ontario) is the $10 park fee and having to sit through that video... otherwise, they're definately the best we have. I'll prolly head up on the 15th in the afternoon/evening if they're open..

once you have a park pass you can just renew it the next year if you bring in your old pass. Oh yeah, i'm going up to Blue sometime between exams, maybe the 15th or 16th. [Edited on 12/5/2005]
