OK guys tell me what you think.... i've spoken about it with a couple of people individually... a weekend up at Hotham as a big get together... if we arrange it early and stay in a lodge like Trapdoor (it's really cool and quite cheap, Lauzzie and i stayed there last year), i think it can happen... SO!!!!!! what about a weekend early in July... ie the 8th and 9th of July. we can go up the Friday night the 7th... come back the Sunday night the 9th. If anyone from NZ or interstate can make it too, that would be awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i'm happy to have anyone stay at my house before or after if they need somewhere to crash before we leave. so just let me know if you're interested and we'll see if it's worth doing. Also, let me know if you have a car and would be willing to drive other people up? I'll put up some general info about approximate costs etc to give you all an idea. YIPPEEEEEEEE. come on guys, lets make it happen.

okey dokey. Where: Mount Hotham www.hotham.com.au When: 7-9th of July 2006 (tentative dates, we'll see how we go, possibly the weekend afterwards) What: Snowboard.com Aus Snow Meet COSTS: accomodation (trapdoor lodge check it out here www.trapdoor.com.au) $70 per night ($140) Lift tickets: 2 day ticket $171 3 day ticket $247 (if you want to go up Friday morning and ride Friday as well to get in as much snow time as possible). Now. depending on how many people are going, and if we're organised early enough, i'm going to try and get a group discount from the resort. It's not a definite, but i know they do it for some groups... we'll see how it goes. Gate Entry: $27 per day per car (i think). This will hopefully be divided by at least 3, if not 4 if we get car-pooling organised. Petrol/travel costs: again, depends on car-pooling, but say about $20 per person. Food: Trapdoor has a huge kitchen, there is alot of food like pasta and noodles and stuff provided, so it's definitely possible to eat pretty cheaply, just bringing sauces and stuff. If you're being REALLY cheap, you won't need to buy any food at all. Again, everything that is provided is on the website (see above). Alcohol: Well obviously how much you want to drink is up to you, might i just say, NO JAGER ALLOWED> JAGER IS NOT TAM'S FRIEND. I'd allow probably $100 for alcohol for the weekend. Board Hire: Almost everyone has their own gear by the sounds of it... if not though, prices from the resort are following: 2 days $95 for board and boots. I would recommend though, be organised, go and see JJ and the guys at Melbourne Snowboard Centre (might see what we can do about organising a discount there too :-p!!!!). SO... all in all it'll be UNDER $500, hopefully around about $400 bucks though. Let me know what you think guys... it would be awesome if we could get as many people as possible from as many different places as possible, and the earlier we get it organised, the better deals we're likely to get and cheaper it's likely to be!!!!!

this is what happens when u get a super crap season after a fucking mint one. I was so ampd last season then it was sooo crap. i went and rode canada for like 6 weeks. then we had a sick winter i was ampd rode 50days, then last year i did lik 15 and it was crap i never got a pawdor day in 5weeks. It will come back, but while the chance is there im g oing to aus for 5weeks. Some times you just needa rest. Also the fact i need to spend a wack of coin on two boards is putting me off.

we got about 10 so far jj. including me and lauzzie. and we've decided that there's no way you're NOT coming. so get used to the idea buddy. please note that eating your fingers, whilst recommended as a means of bonding with the rest of the group, is certainly not mandatory. and it's about 8 hours from sydney i think. you pretty much drive to albury then down to wangaratta and across. it'd be good if you had a group to do it with... but otherwise you could either fly direct to hotham (not as expensive as you'd expect, incredibly) or fly to melbourne and get a lift up. Especially if you can co-ordinate it with people to visit in melbourne. so ya.
