okey dokey.
Where: Mount Hotham www.hotham.com.au
When: 7-9th of July 2006 (tentative dates, we'll see how we go, possibly the weekend afterwards)
What: Snowboard.com Aus Snow Meet
COSTS:
accomodation (trapdoor lodge check it out here www.trapdoor.com.au)
$70 per night ($140)
Lift tickets:
2 day ticket $171
3 day ticket $247 (if you want to go up Friday morning and ride Friday as well to get in as much snow time as possible).
Now. depending on how many people are going, and if we're organised early enough, i'm going to try and get a group discount from the resort. It's not a definite, but i know they do it for some groups... we'll see how it goes.
Gate Entry:
$27 per day per car (i think). This will hopefully be divided by at least 3, if not 4 if we get car-pooling organised.
Petrol/travel costs:
again, depends on car-pooling, but say about $20 per person.
Food:
Trapdoor has a huge kitchen, there is alot of food like pasta and noodles and stuff provided, so it's definitely possible to eat pretty cheaply, just bringing sauces and stuff. If you're being REALLY cheap, you won't need to buy any food at all. Again, everything that is provided is on the website (see above).
Alcohol:
Well obviously how much you want to drink is up to you, might i just say, NO JAGER ALLOWED> JAGER IS NOT TAM'S FRIEND. I'd allow probably $100 for alcohol for the weekend.
Board Hire:
Almost everyone has their own gear by the sounds of it... if not though, prices from the resort are following:
2 days $95 for board and boots.
I would recommend though, be organised, go and see JJ and the guys at Melbourne Snowboard Centre (might see what we can do about organising a discount there too :-p!!!!).
SO... all in all it'll be UNDER $500, hopefully around about $400 bucks though. Let me know what you think guys... it would be awesome if we could get as many people as possible from as many different places as possible, and the earlier we get it organised, the better deals we're likely to get and cheaper it's likely to be!!!!!
