Hello,
I have been living at various ski hills in BC for about six years now and have been riding the same board the entire time. My 04' Ride Control 158 is a great board, but it isn't fast enough and I could use a little more pop and flex. I am 5' 9", 155 pounds, and am looking for a great all-mountain free ride board. I spend most of my time in the trees, or off-piste, although living on the mountain I need something that does it all, pow, hardpack, has pop for jumps, and although park is the least of my concerns it would be nice to be able to hop in every once in a while.
I was looking at a Ride Concept TMS, so does anyone think this would be the board for me? I am open to any suggestions though.
-Edit- I forgot to mention, I currently live in Sun Peaks, BC, but I have trips planned for Kicking Horse, Revelstoke, Whitewater, and I'm on the alternates list for Mike Wiegele's.

I've been to Sun Peaks before in 2005... that place is awesome - I really like the chill quaint village vibe it had and the snow was excellent. So anyways I'm your size (5'9 155 lbs). My friend has a Ride Control 154 like you around the same time (like 2001-2003) and I agree it could have used more pop... flex-wise the slightly longer than average length for your weight (158) would have made it feel a a little stiff.
I would highly recommend the Neversummer SLR 155 as I think it will really be the versatile all-mountain freeride board you are looking for. I rode the non-RC SL 155 the year before and the Reverse Camber makes it more playful (easier to quickly turn), easier to float in powder. RC model was also had a little bit of flex and still maintained a good amount of pop. The pop it has is easier to load up than a traditional model, I guess that's because of the mini-cambered zones.
Ride Concept TMS is a good board for freeriding - fast carve down steep slopes... however ironically freeride board are stiffer and then to be a little unwieldy in tight trees and tend to sink a little because of their narrower profile and I think if you found the Ride Control 158 as too stiff (it's not a very stiff board), the TMS might be too much for you.
Other boards I've ridden are 09 K2 Jibpan 150, 2010 Jibpan 150, 09 Libtech Phoenix Blonde 154, 07 Libtech Phoenix, 04 Libtech Phoenix, 09 Burtom Custom 154, 08 Burton X8 155, 07 Ride Kink, Omatic Awesome 153, 05 Rome Anthem, 06 Rome Agent, 06 Nitro T2, ... others I can't remember.
