What are some good socks that I should get? I want to get a lightweight, midweight, and heavyweight pair for all different temperatures. I was looking at the 32 Feather Highs with merino wool for the heavywieghts and other than that I don't want to spend over $20 for each of the other pairs. Should I get all 32 socks?
Am I indecisive? Well, yes and no.

smartwool
^^^ Smartwool is good. So are Bridgedale Snowboard/Ski socks (my favorite). Burton socks are ok, they aren't bad, but not amazing either - if you can get them 50% off they are worth it, I wouldn't pay full price.

i'll second Bridgedale... i don't have problems with cold feet so i like to run super ultra lightweight performance ski type socks from Bridgedale all year long, even in frigid midwinter east coast conditions, to help fit into the smallest boots possible... Bridgedale by far makes the thinnest most ultra lightweight quality sock in the sock making world.

I've been using X Socks, Thorlo, Sessions, Helly Hansen, Vans, Fox River, Dakine, DC, Icebreaker, Bakoda, & have found all of them brilliant. I'll change the sock thickness/type, according to the conditions/temperature of the day, but as an instructor, it's really great to have fresh socks, on a daily basis...!
