It would kind of help if you gave the name of the model that they were.
Am I indecisive? Well, yes and no.

Heres the main thing that was stressed by the T9 rep :

"Matte ladder straps prodive more friction and holding power, rather than glossy"   -  Why is that the best part of your binding?

Nothing along the likes of "we've developed a new toe cap this year" - burton. or "theres these cool things that keep your ankle straps out of the way" Rome . Or my personal favorite: "this has ladder garages" Ride

did you ever ride the glossy straps? they  were shit! They would crank so tight and then they would just flex and slip.  t9 could only go up from there. I had a pair of t-nines from 07/08, the atheletic pros. imo technine has the best looking bindings every year but their performance is crap. Flex in all the wrong places, straps won't tighten, every thing comes loose, hard to adjust, highback is straight up jib, if you want to carve and freeride they arent the best option. From looking at the new models it appears that the frames are all the same as they have been. idk, i was so stoked when I got mine but i freakin hated em! sorry to be so negative but that was my experience with them. Oh... i paid 90 bucks for them also, i think they retailed for 220... 90 was to much.

i bought a pair of them a few years ago, went home to adjust them and and the buckles were just soooo bad, so i returned them, got union forces and glad that i did. Lots of people like technine, but iv always thought they seemed kinda chincey, however i havn't actually used a pair on the mountain so i don't have much room to talk.

i had the wittlakes a few years ago with one black and one white one. They looked badass and felt solid but the ratchets wore down easily and the screws always loosened up easily.
