I remember coming in here as an ignorant 15 year old not knowing or really caring much about the world and having my eyes opened to reality for the first time. Alright, so it wasn't quite that a profound experience, but from this humble section of the once great SB.com, I learned how to think critically, form an opinion, express it with eloquence (thanks Paolo), and defend it from the evil conservatives (kidding (sorta)).
Three and half years later, I may now proudly say that I learned from the best. Shred on, geezers.

i too have learnt much from the online interactions of this place. it saddens me to see its fall from popular grace;
but at least i got to enjoy some of it in its prime and indeed, from people such as Lakia and Haterplayer / Brobrah (RIP) and countless others, i too have found a broader knowledge base.
fears of flame etc are redundant in light of what nuggets of truth can be found, by those thick skinned enough to perceive a deeper more meaningful sentiment.
and so thanks to one and all. i just wish i was able to be in my current timezone, back when things were juming in here. perhaps then, y'all wouldn't have had to contend with the dozen posts i created one after the other, following my reading the wealth of stuff added over night.
oh well. perhaps we can rage in person, face to face, over a bevvie in a downtown bar?
