Im seriously considering doing Rotary study abroad but one major thing for me is being able to snowboard, at least a few times, if not a lot ( I go every weekend at home). Is there anywhere good in Australia to ride (with park?) if so where? I am also a strict vegitarian,so is austrailia pretty open to this? I was also considering S.A. (ARgentina, Chile..) But they eat more meat than the U.S.!

Any help/advice? Much appreciated  :)

You'd be better off going to NZ...

Queenstown or Wanaka would be ideal, but probably hard to get an exchange to the schools there. An alternative would be Invercargill, a few big schools there that always have rotary exchange kids floating around. Plenty of people head up to Queenstown or Wanaka (2 - 3 hours up the road) for weekends during the winter, and my old high school ran day trips to the Queenstown hills every weekend, there were heaps of skiers/boarders there.

And yea, heaps of vegetarians floating around too.

You could also look at Dunedin, although it's further away from the snow, but bigger city etc. Christchurch could be another option

christchurch would be your easiest/best option. Big population (for NZ) close to 13 hills and surf in town.
