So, as part of my college degree, I get to spend 5 months this winter working at a ski area of my choice and I'm thinking somewhere in the Western USA is the way to go.  Problem is, I really have no clue where to go.

I'm looking to work as an instructor and I was thinking of Lake Tahoe just because I already know some people there and it's a lower altitude than a lot of other places (I spent a year going to college in Colorado at 10,200ft and I had enough trouble breathing that there is no way I'd be able to work there).

So, what's a good resort to work at in the Tahoe area?  If they have a snowboard race team, that would be even better since I am looking into getting into race coaching sometime in the future.

Or suggest some other ski area that you think would be a good place to work, it's base just can't be at like 9,000 feet or I'll die of oxygen deprivation.

Wow you must be out of shape if you spent a year living in the high country and couldn't breath.

Hahaha, I was thinking the same thing. The altitude is a real thing the first two weeks then it's just like being at lower elevations.  Must be a health conditions or something.
If there is a more pointless place to argue than the web...
I don't know about it.

Or she was part of the 2% that is obese and probably will die walking up a small incline.

to bad when they die out here we spend 3 months searching for them only to find their frozen carcass 2 miles from where everyone was searching with a frozen kung fu grip on their beer can.

This makes me question the worth of hiking for ollie pads . . .
