I love getting older for the most part. More fun, more opportunities to do things.......... But I can't do them as often or as drunk as I used too.
I remember back when I was starting university, and the years before that. We'd easily drink 5 nights a week(especially first year uni)... Get up every morning with the sun after 5 hours of sleep and get right back into it.
But now.... Im turning 22 this year and I just cant do it anymore. 2 nights in a row hurt. 3 nights kill. BUt anything more is a physical impossibility. All my friends are noticing it too.... ugh.
There was no real point to this post... more just a rant and a rememberance to the way things where. Anyone else finding themselves in similar situations?

I'm 30, and I hit the stage you are at like 2 years ago. I can still pull 3 day binges, but I pay dearly for them.

wasn't until this last year that i'm feeling it. and its not that i can't drink as much, as fast or recover as quickly... its that i 'lose time' more often now.
i can still pound with the best of em, but i don't do it as often, so my tolerance has dropped a wee bit. and i get hangovers now 1 out of say.... 5 nights of drinking. it used to be so rare i couldn't put a number on it.
as i said though.. i lose time. i won't remember something happening the night before... odd little blank spots... and that even having 4 pints or so that will happen... a little worrysome. so now i feel like i should just go full bore or not at all... hate this middle ground.

Meh, im 25 now and i noticed i get hang overs a little more than i used to. But its still nothing a good ol bottle of powerade or a screwdriver in the morning cant fix. Then again we drink so much whiskey now its hard not to get a hang over, dont drink a whole lot of beer anymore.
Ears if you ever make it to whistler for telus, i'll teach you about a hang over. Its a 12 hour project and involves each of us having a half gallon of jack.

i don't see whats wrong with that lakia...
anyone else? problems?... nope. i think i may have watched a 'movie' one time where your description pretty much sums up the main character... there wasn't much of a plot, but i found it entertaining.

heh.. i lived in victoria, bc for a year! i never got to go party with you and make stories... silly... also, i've been going to telus for ... christ.. 4 years now? wow... time flies. when the hell do i get to meet you?
