I decided to pop in and have a looksy at what people in here think about what is going on in Iran at the moment. I'm a bit disappointed to see nothing, but I guess I am not surprised. Stuff not getting past the iron curtain or is it simply not interesting enough that a country hailed by many as being allied with teh dev0l hisself is on the edge of revolution?

It's an interesting conflict to try to follow, mainly for the fact that there is no such thing as a reliable source of information flow. Western journalists are under house arrest, the govt can hardly be considered reliable and it's pretty much touch and go. I would suggest to bring a grain of salt and check out http://mashable.com/2009/06/14/new-media-iran/

There is no doubt either way you look at it that something has been dodgy with the recent election, and the populace are not prepared to accept it. On youtube you will find videos of protesters chanting "Death to Khamenei". Not bad in a country filled with muslim extremists? (that was sarcasm).

Please take a moment to read up on this struggle against a totalitarian fascist religious government and think if there is a way you can support it, either by spreading the word that something is actually going on, or by showing your support in protesting directly or through sidechannels against the treatment given to protesters in Tehran.

I believe there is an Iranian embassy in Washington. Bring a rock.
