Hi,

I'm thinking of going to Wanaka from Aug 31st - Sept 12.  Will be coming from Tokyo, Japan.   Got a few questions...

Was wondering where are cheap places to stay for 1-2 people.  I was inquiring for quotes with the Ski Express ppl and got a quote for 1943 NZD for 13 nights + 12 days lift pass to Coronet Peak, The Remarkables, Mt Hutt, Cardrona, Treble Cone or Snow Park.

Also, how's the nightlife in Wanaka during this time?

Lastly, I'm not sure if I should bring my powder board over during this period (NeverSummer Summit 161cm).  I'm definitely bringing my Burton Uninc 158cm and I'm not too keen on bringing an extra set of board and bindings if it's not worth the effort (as in no pow during that time).

Thanks!

Thanks!

id only bring the summit if ur going to go heli.

A 158 uninc will be sweet in nz, if ur staying in wanaka ud want to ride trebble cone / cardrona / snowpark.

Night life will be pretty sweet, snow will be getting towards the end of the season so you might get lucky with freshies but it could be the start of the melt/freeze shit.
